It was very strong indeed, but nothing special, a little sweet which I liked.

Not bad, not bad. Short head, darkish golden pour, fruity tasting, medium to long finish. Bottle, Havana, Cuba.

Bière blonde de type imperial Pilsener de 6.4% d’alcool, en canette, peu mousseuse, peu pétillante bien amer, souvenir sur la plage et à la pêche en pédalo à Cayo Santa-Maria.

Can shared with HogTownHarry, blankboy, jerc & tupalev - courtesy of tupalev. Light golden with a small white head. Aroma is quite sweet and grainy, a bit boring but not unpleasant. Medium bodied. Flavour is surprisingly inoffensive - faint sweet malt, some actual hop character, and a bit of booze in the finish. Wow, this could’ve been a lot worse.

Can (355ml). Shared by GregClow with blankboy, jerc and tupalev. Gold, flat-looking, minimal head. Fusel alcohol & sugar, some grass. Pretty boring taste - grassy and hotly alcoholic, sweet. Thin, boozy, sharp, a little harsh. Ehh - could be worse - will getya hammered and probably leave you with a mule-kick hangover.

Not as popular as the Bucanero Fuerte. I had this at a four table restaurant in a house in Havana. The ingredients list includes sugar but not yeast. Obviously an oversight regarding the yeast but essentially Bucanero Fuerte boosted again with sugar. It has the same dark gold colour, fair head and more alcohol in the flavour.

2008-05-01. Pale golden yellow, modest white head. Mild sweet grains and some industrial grainy alcohol notes in the aroma. Watery bland flavour, dilute pale malts. Very light bitterness is a lot less harsh than it could have been. Average to light palate. Meh, mostly just bland. Can shared by Tupalev

Bottle: Strong malt, caramel with an alcohol punch. Not terrible, drinkable.
