Orange Blossom Ale. Inspired by the rich fragnance of blooming orange groves, this copper colored ale combines the flavor and aroma of real orange tree flowers with a well balanced, full flavored ale to produce a real treat for the senses. Munich and light Caramel malts produce a smooth, creamy malt complexity, and American hops give the beer a bright, refreshing bitterness and dry finish. The orange blossom aroma blends superbly with the other beer flavors, providing a unique dimension that is the perfect complement to tangy, herbal or spicy foods, soft cheeses or pastries.

This orange beer poured with a foamy off-white head and yes, an orange blossom aroma. There is a sour funky citrus flavor that is fortunately thin enough that you can’t taste it much. Nothing to write home about.

Can courtesy of BelgianBeerGal. Pours a hazy amber/copper with a white head. Smells of oranges, sweet malt. Tastes of oranges with some dryness on the finish. Reminds me of a shandy.

16 ounce can purchased at the Davis Food Co-Op. Aroma is very sweet, fruity, orangey, with hints of honey. Smells more like orange soda than beer. Transparent orange-copper body with a medium off-white head. Fair lacing. Starts very carbonated, spritzy. Has some herbal, floral sweetness in the middle. Kind of watery before a bit of a caramel malty finish. Has a bit of a dry finish. This reminds me way too much of Buffalo Bill’s, which is definitely not a good thing.

Can from the Coop in Davis, CA. Sort of an orangey amber color with a slight off-white head. Aroma of grain with something lightly orange/citrus. Near medium body with fizzy carbonation. Goes flat in the mouth rather quickly. Pretty light ale. Not a great deal of orange. Mildly astringent. Begs the question: why?

Oh boy, this is not a good beer. Yikes. Orange pour with white head. Tastes like cheap orange candy. Harsh and bitter orange. Dry palate. Pretty gross.

I’m sure glad this can is the label stated “original” version of this beer and not some knock off. Pours orange with a slight haze and tiny white head. The aroma is orange candy that seems to be mixing faint wheat, malt and sugar. The taste is very orange candy mingling with a black tea sensation and a dash of malt. Into the finish the sugar sweet orange candy notes fade enough to allow one to enjoy just a note or two of malts as well as the persistent black tea flavor.

Can courtesy of jcwattsrugger. Pours a hazy dark yellow color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is somewhat sour and malty with notes of funk, sour oranges, floral hops and orange blossoms. Flavor is sweet and floral with notes of overripe orange, citrus, honey, spice. Generally light body with a floral and slightly hoppy finish.

Can, courtesy jcwattsrugger. Orange pour, copper, thin white head and lacing. Nose is spicy, with citrus, honey and some cinnamon. Flavor is orange and other citrus, honey, some neat berries. Thin and drinkable, simplistic but solid.
