Bottled (shared by brunnsbe, thanks!). mber colour, small white head. Aroma is parumed soap, some floral and grassy hops as well as some mild sweetish notes. Flavour is much the same along with crisp caramel malts and some earth.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 fiulijn (10383) - Como, ITALY - AUG 3, 2008
Draught at the brewpub, hand pulled Beautiful, clean amber color. Some caramel aroma. It has a medium sweet flavor, that strangely reminds me a watered Barley Wine; soft mouthfeel; good bitterness, ending with the correct mix of caramel too. Good.

Light golden-brown colour. Slight brown sugar sweetness and hints of earth are the main features. Bland, caramelly with vague English hop earthiness. Fairly sticky finish. Some underattenuation problems at the brewery these days? Sad, this used to be a beauty back in the 90’s.

on hand pump-pours a disappearing off white head with bubbles and copper color. Aroma is medium malt-caramel. Taste is medium malt-caramel, fruit-apple, a bit syrupy although light body. Fits the style.

Pale brown colour with a thin white head. Almost still carbonation. Zesty maltyness with some molasses. Some bitterness, although due to a mix up I killed my palette on the IPA before hitting this one. Nice spicy hop flavour and some bitterness.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 3fourths (6399) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 5, 2005
Cask at the brewery
Orange rusty color and clear appearance. The nose is full of tangerines, sour oranges, wood and scotch. Hoppy oranges, alcohol and ashtray notes as well. Wet tasting, not that hoppy up front, but scratchy and woody in the finish. Good toasted nut flavor, very decent brew.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Beershine (4712) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - OCT 13, 2007
Copper color is tantalizing. This is a nice example of a bitter, with a robust flavor and solid hop aftertaste. Thick, creamy head lingers. Forebody is malty to keep the beer nice and balanced and smooth. Carmel notes but no sweetness: a good, quaffable brew.

Good Bitter.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 riversideAK (4560) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JAN 18, 2012
Toasty sweet nose light earthy woody hop character. Definitely one of sweeter bitters I’ve had. Pours coper thin head. Sugary sweet to start and finish with toast and a somewhat dry earthy woody character to back ot up. Too sweet and almost cloying at times.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 tiggmtl (4475) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 1, 2008
Thick, chewy caramel malt aroma with light fruity esters and floral, earthy hops. Hazy, deep copper coloured body is topped by a generous and lasting off white head that leaves some lace. Caramel up front but not overly sweet. Decent offsetting bitterness with floral and earthy hop flavours. Esters are apparent especially in the aftertaste. Quite dry with medium body and creamy texture offset by pleasantly prickly carbonation. Tulip glass. Allowed to warm from fridge temperature. Bottle (Brewery Creek, Aug-08).
