Bottle (650ml) shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a clear orange-copper with a large lasting fluffy off-white head. Nice aroma of caramel malt, citrus & resin hops, fruit, light spices and some yeastiness too. Flavour’s pretty bitter, with lots of citrus & resin hops along with some fruit, caramel malt and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied. Very good, another quality Canadian IPA and once again not from Ontario.

Bottle (650ml). Shared with blankboy and garthicus, my bottle via trade with mgermani. Slightly hazy light copper pour, solid lasting frothy off-white head. Lovely IPA aroma - sweet toasted malt, citrus/resin hop bitterness and a hint of yeasty lactose. The taste is slightly burnt, high acidity and reminded me a bit of crushed dead leaves. Average body, mild carbonation, very astringent and a pretty long bitter finish. Very good indeed.

[867-20071130] 650mL (w/ GregClow, jerc, tupalev). Grainy hops aroma has a hint of sweet lemon pip. Slightly hazy, amber orange body with a quick creamy off-white head. Bitter bitter grainy grass flavour. Medium body is super bitter dry. Interesting but wow that is one bitter beer!

Bottle shared with GregClow, Jerc, and Mabel,, courtesy of Greg. Dark orange, medium foamy white head - very foamy. Sticky sweet hops in pleasing aroma. Nice taste - lots of hops (which makes it stand out tonight), nice malt body. Fruity. Very good, very enjoyable, and very drinkable. Nice job Swans/Buckerfield.

Bottle shared with tupalev, jerc & mabel - my bottle. Clear orange-amber with a small head. Very nice aroma - rich and fruity and hoppy, with serious grapefruit and resin notes. Medium body. Flavour is aggressive, but not obnoxious, with lots of grapefruit/citric hoppiness, and a mellow malt backbone.

on tap-pours a retaining thin off white head that laces and copper color. Aroma is citrus/sweet grapefruit hops, secondary medium malt. Taste is citrus/sweet grapefruit hops, secondary medium malt, slight pungent/bitter at finish. OK/mild carbonation.

Has a fruity, aromatic bouquet that is tempting. Pours darker than many IPAs, like the burnt sienna in your Crayola box. Somewhat cloudy too, which lends character. It is not overly hoppy but retains a fruity, lively flavor. The aftertaste leaves a lingering, satisfying bitterness though. This is a nice, drinkable IPA. Re-rated Dec 2007 from tap at brewpub. Pours amber color, nice head, leaves lacing. Hop forward nose. Pine. Somewhat syrupy malt smell. Assertive hop flavors. Soft but sticky mouthfeel makes it a little heavy going but otherwise not bad.
