8/24/2007: Buckerfields Raspberry Ale has blueberry-like floral aroma and a berry flavor (blueberry flavor with a raspberry tartness). There is a light citrusy hoppiness and smooth maltiness underneath the berry flavor. The beer is medium-light to medium in body and has a mellow, mild palate. It really reminds me of an English Bitter with some berry flavoring added to it. I really though think that this is a pretty good fruit beer.
Draught sample at Swans Brewpub in Victoria, BC, Canada. Rating #14 for this beer...
Nate (2533), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 26, 2007 Draught sample at Swans Hotel. Light raspberry fruity aroma. Mild tartness over sugary sweet malt; like raspberry Kool-Aid nose. Copper amber clear with no head. Medium bodie with medium carbonation. Nice and fruity with decent raspberry flavor to start. Light sweetness with mild fruity crisp finish and light fruity clean after. Not a bad fruit beer. patrick767 (2016), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Sep 27, 2006 tap at the brewpub - Pours dark reddish-amber with a thin head and a strong raspberry aroma. The flavor is fairly light and led by sweet raspberry with some caramel maltiness alongside in a slightly too thin body. The finish has some mild alcohol flavor. Not bad. Oakes (8058), gone rambling, Vietnam Sep 11, 2005 Dark amber with slight reddish hue. Strong raspberry aroma. Light body with hints of dark malt underneath a predominantly fruit-syrupy flavour. There is a slight malt chewiness in the finish that salvages things somewhat, but I’m not into it. mj (4975), Colorado, USA Aug 5, 2005 Bright but dark red color and clear in the appearance. Rich and sweet raspberry nose, but still like a fruit juice or kool-aid than a well formed pure fruit scent. Too sweet and artificial tasting, simple overall, with a twangy spoiled vegetable note in the aftertaste. lilannie (383), State College, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 5, 2005 Aroma: sweet rasberries, wheat, very light
Appearance: dark reddish-brown, small white head
Flavor: rasberries, some wheat/grains, light chemicals, bubblegum
Palate: aftertaste of sugary fruit juice and grains Trev (850), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA Apr 27, 2005 Draught (2005) Really enjoyed this. Toned down berry in flavor and aroma with hoppy undertones. Nice copper with a slight purple/redish tinge. rogueminded (41), Newport, Oregon, USA Apr 21, 2005 A nice little maroon color with a fruity taste. Not all that I imagined. A little watery, but it is refreshing and I’m not saying its bad at all. It’s good, especially for 7%
