Draught (2005) Really enjoyed this. Toned down berry in flavor and aroma with hoppy undertones. Nice copper with a slight purple/redish tinge.

A nice little maroon color with a fruity taste. Not all that I imagined. A little watery, but it is refreshing and Im not saying its bad at all. Its good, especially for 7%

Nice covering up of the alcohol although I still found this beer to be a little to sweet and sugary, needed some sourness for balance. Pretty good and refreshing.

UPDATED: JUN 25, 2006 (Draught) 2003 Silver Medallist @ CDN Brewing Awards. Thin, white head with a mohogany body. Slight jammy nose but good alcohol tone to cover the aroma. Flavour is sweet, tart with a decent ABV. I see no reason to mark this beer less than GOOD!

On a small pub crawl while onshore for a few hrs from my cruise ship, I hit up Swans. As a general statement for all of their beers that i tried, the good news is that they were served at the right temperature. The bad news is that none of them was too good, IMHO. The aroma of this ale was like raspberry soda. The taste was a bit too sweet.

Dark amber with a fair bit of reddish. Malty raspberry flavour with some hoppyness in there. Raspberry flavour isnt overly strong and fits in there nicely with the other flavours. Was torn between giving it a 13 and a 14.

Slightly reddish colour, perfectly clear with a faint pink head. Great sweet raspberry aroma. Flavour is also prominantly raspberry, with an acidic twang following the initial fruitiness. Bitterness seems to come mostly from raspberry seeds (i.e. not hop-like). Very interesting and quite refreshing.

Appealing beamish raspberry orange color and emitting a feint, vernal, blossoming bouquet. Very artificial sour wheaty taste that leaves an enduring off balance aftertaste on the palate.
