Dark amber with slight reddish hue. Strong raspberry aroma. Light body with hints of dark malt underneath a predominantly fruit-syrupy flavour. There is a slight malt chewiness in the finish that salvages things somewhat, but I’m not into it.

Hazy red-amber color. Anonymous beer, with a bitterness from the fruits, no sweetness, no fruity notes (besides some aroma); quite overy bitter at the end, for a fruit beer. Not very good.

on tap-pours a thin white head and red color. Aroma is berry. Taste is berry spritzer. OK carbonation.

Slightly reddish colour, perfectly clear with a faint pink head. Great sweet raspberry aroma. Flavour is also prominantly raspberry, with an acidic twang following the initial fruitiness. Bitterness seems to come mostly from raspberry seeds (i.e. not hop-like). Very interesting and quite refreshing.

Bright but dark red color and clear in the appearance. Rich and sweet raspberry nose, but still like a fruit juice or kool-aid than a well formed pure fruit scent. Too sweet and artificial tasting, simple overall, with a twangy spoiled vegetable note in the aftertaste.

(Buckerfield’s Berry Ale - Strong Fruit Ale): Aroma is pleasantly tart and full of berries. Underlying doughy, sweet malt character is notable. Clear amber-copper coloured body is topped by a fizzy off white, large bubbled head that recedes very rapidly to a slight ring. Toasty and lightly grainy and sweet malt flavour underscores the tart berry flavours. Tastes almost like a fruity ginger ale and the dry medium-light body and strong fizzy carbonation reinforce that impression. Tulip glass. Just above fridge temperature. Bottle (BB Nov-Wk 4-08, Brewery Creek, Apr-08).

2008-02-01. Bottle labeled Berry Ale. Dark amber body with a small off white head. Good amount of raspberry aroma is lightly tart with a perceived slightly artificial note to it. (6+) Sweet malt underlies a sweet tart raspberry flavour. Average palate. Alcohol is not noticeable. Pretty decent fruit beer but fairly plain overall.

(Draught) 2003 Silver Medallist @ CDN Brewing Awards. Thin, white head with a mohogany body. Slight jammy nose but good alcohol tone to cover the aroma. Flavour is sweet, tart with a decent ABV. I see no reason to mark this beer less than GOOD!
