2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Has a very nice ruby-red body and a good pillow of antique white head. The aroma is all kriek-style fruity syrup, not in the league of Cantillon but more in the league of Lindemanís.... so what did I give a Lindemanís Kriek? Oh, probably a six. Iíll assume itís a six for aroma. The flavour is an odd mix of berry flavours that are muted by some odd cloying detergent crap that is just totally dragging the experience down, man. Somethinís just off in this one, and itís a shame - I was hoping to experience at least a British Columbian version of a mass-produced Belgian Kriek, but instead got a fruity mess that is just all over the place. Iíll still finish my 650ml bottle, though.

Slight rose tint in the glass. Raspberry on the nose. Light hops. Little head. Pleasant but not a full bodied fruit beer. A patio sipper for a hot day.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Appealing beamish raspberry orange color and emitting a feint, vernal, blossoming bouquet. Very artificial sour wheaty taste that leaves an enduring off balance aftertaste on the palate.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle simply says "Berry Ale". Pours a soft amber with a mall layer of foam. Holy diacetyl, batman! Smells just like microwave popcorn! Taste has a faint tartness to it. Again, tons of diacetyl and light cranberry/gooseberry. Decent carb, thin body. Ouch ouch ouch!

Bottle. Light copper-red body with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma has some light raspberry, metal, and light jam sweetness. Flavour has raspberry syrup, strawberry, and some sweet cookie and caramel. Itís pretty weak and somewhat muddled together.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
On a small pub crawl while onshore for a few hrs from my cruise ship, I hit up Swanís. As a general statement for all of their beers that i tried, the good news is that they were served at the right temperature. The bad news is that none of them was too good, IMHO.
The aroma of this ale was like raspberry soda. The taste was a bit too sweet.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bright but dark red color and clear in the appearance. Rich and sweet raspberry nose, but still like a fruit juice or kool-aid than a well formed pure fruit scent. Too sweet and artificial tasting, simple overall, with a twangy spoiled vegetable note in the aftertaste.
