Pours black with a light brown head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is of malts, chocolate, light coffee, and some toasitness. Bubbly and sweeter palate. Flavors are pretty much the same. Leaves a sweeter chocolate malt finish. Decent brew, a little light.

Growler shared in NYC. Pours clear, deep brown with a frothy off-white head. The nose has rich bread, dark fruits, chocolate. Medium sweet flavor with sugary dark bread, chocolate, some berries, roast, dough. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes fairly sweet, with burnt chocolate, more dark fruits, blackberry, scorched earth. Good stuff.

It’s not bad. Has a bitter yet almost chocolate taste with a bit of a coffee undertone. The mouthfeel was smooth. All in all it’s a decent tasting brew, but not a very strong flavor.

Dark and coffee like in appearance.
It has a subtle smell with coffee and chocolate notes.
A very rich taste with lots of chocolate and coffee, mild vanilla taste. Bitter finish.
It has a very smooth mouthfeel and is not very heavy.
Overall, this isn’t my cup of tea. The taste is a little too rich and bitter.

Growler. Thanks for sharing, Bil. Aroma is a bit of soft malt and wet chocolate. This is a cola porter, in that it’s sweet and tastes like stale cola syrup. Roots, ginger, and vague spices. Very little snap and a sweet finish. Languid and drowsy.
