krautdog (15), Ohio, USA Mar 17, 2008 Tried this on tap at The Buckeye beerengine. It’s a very well done IPA. The Amarillo hops really stand out, it has an almost grapefruit aroma with a good balance between bitter/malty. It is a fairly light colored brew that’s smooth and refreshing, I had a couple of these to wash down the bottlecaps (fried Jalapeño slices) this is a very well balanced IPA.
radiomgb (1776), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Sep 8, 2008 Golden-orange in colour with a thin white coloured head, excellent lacing. The aroma was very hoppy with some pine, cedar, very light citrus and a bit of mint. The flavour is again very hoppy, dry, soapy, some pine, some caramel sweetness. Hoppy mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes long, hoppy and piney.
This was quite a fresh sample from a growler. A very good change after a weekend of sour beers.
A growler obtained in a trade with miketd, thanks Mike.
Opened on March 29, 2008
Very fresh, 5 days in the growler.
rudolf (1570), Buffalo, New York, USA Apr 4, 2008 Growler at the sour tasting. Gold, nice white head. Nose is a gigantic hop explosion after what we’ve been drinking for the last 2 days. Caramel/toffee, juicy fruit. Flavor is caramel & hoppy goodness. Pine, mint mixed with some kind of fruit. Bitterness increases in the finish. kyzr (962), Belgrade, Montana, USA Feb 19, 2008 Growler thanks to crizay. Copper pour with good sized off-white head. Aroma is almost all hops with a slight hint of malt. Flavor is much the same, big hoppy and storng. Almost washes out the malt to a nice dry bitter finish. ogglethorp (801), Ohio, USA Jan 14, 2008 On tap at the engine. Pours a copper color with a medium sized off white head. Aroma is huge citrus and floral hops, with light caramel malts. Flavor is again citrus, floral, caramel malts. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation finishes bitter. Tis is really a very good IPA.
