On tap at Buckeye Beer Engine. Copper/amber pour with a medium off-white head. Citrus hop aroma with a sweet malt balance. Citrus and pine hop flavor with some sweet malt on the back end. A tad more sweetness than your normal IIPA. Similar to 90 min.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 hopson (633) - Williamsville, New York, USA - MAY 5, 2009
on tap at the buckeye- a treat for certain- the best beer I had sampled at buckeye- huge, huge piney aroma, and the accompanying hop flavor was on full display- the sweetness supported the hops big time, and cut down on any bitterness- this finished quite nicely.

Pours a clear medium light amber with a verythin almost non existent head creamy white head. Big grapefruity hop aroma with a hint if honey sweetness. Taste was big deep and complex of hops, honey and roasted malt. Unfortunately it lacks the carbonation to hang with other top eschilon IIPA’s. However this another fine offering from the guys over at Buckeye Brewing.

Draft at the Engine. Big Citrus. Deep orangish amber, slight head. Big citrus aroma. Flavor begins caramel malty sweet, the the sticky hoppiness takes over. Very well done, extremely enjoyable.

Piney notes of pineapple and mango. Medium sweet, medium plus hoppiness, well balanced, and quite drinkable for the high hop levels.

Tap at Beer Engine. Deep golden pour. The nose is intensely hoppy. Bright mango and tropical hoppiness. Fresh and incredibly hoppy. Light pale malt sweetness balanced by a soft peppery character. Bitterness is restrained, but the hoppiness certainly isn’t. Fruity and chewy. An absolute hop assault, but it is really damn tasty.

Fresh, juicy, grapefruity hops. Nice nose. Lots of peachy and nectarine notes. A iipa that non-beer drinkers would like. Very jammy. Big body with low bitterness. Not in your face. A bit of lactic acid puts off the finish.

Pours medium amber with no head. Smells like piney hops and sticky cush. Juicy floral hop flavor. Slightly dry mid palate but still juicy finish with alcohol aftertaste.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 GAManiac (1905) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - NOV 10, 2010
Big thanks to Tyler for this bottle. First beer I’ve had from this brewery.
Pours a crystal clear, deep amber with some bubbles streaming to the top and feeding a small creamy beige head that leaves some decent lacing on the sides.
The aroma is heavy on the citrus hops with grapefruit and pineapples jumping out. Light bready malts and some caramel sweetness in the background but the hops are the star of the show in the nose and have a slightly astringent character to them.
Taste has an initial blast of oranges and grapefruit, bitter and astringent on the palate, with a sugary sweet caramel backbone following on. The finish has a mixture of the bitter grapefruit and resinous pine hops.
The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with a little bit lower carbonation than I was expecting.
This is certainly an impressive introduction to a new brewery for me - an aggressively hopped DIPA that still remains very easy to drink. Really good beer.
