Sammy (3135), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 22, 2008 Enjoyed at the brewpub. Reddish colour with lace. Tastes like a competent altbier. Yeast kicks in the finish. PorterPounder (2851), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jul 25, 2008 Lakewood, Oh. - on tap at the Beer Engine. Dark copper pour, thickish khaki colored head with nice trailing lacing. Fresh lake water aroma, hint of mint. Flavor is nutty with some toffee notes and a minty finish. Clean, even mouthfeel. Good lunch companion. Drew (2377), Kent, Ohio, USA Mar 13, 2003 Here's an alt that leans over towards the hoppier side. Medium bodied malts - slightly sweet and caramel on the sides of the tongue. The hops are strong, warm and lingering - if you want a traditional alt, this may not satisfy you. Me, I was pleasantly surprised, even though this can't replace my beloved Blimp City Alt. aracauna (2238), Georgia, USA Jun 6, 2007 Pours a clear copper with a good head. The aroma has a whiff of caramel malt, but not a lot. There’s an almost grapey or apricot fruitiness in there as well. It’s a touch overcarbonated with detracts a little.
