3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 cracklefish (108) - Ohio, USA - APR 8, 2010
Super clear pour or I would mistake this for Gumballhead. Smell is all amarillo but the body is missing to back up the hops. It’s delicious but the malt is too light for all that citrus. Dry perfumy flavor on the finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 502F (1000) - ARLINGTON, Virginia, USA - APR 1, 2010
Bomber into pint glass. Firstly, I’d like to say that this is one of the coolest bottle designs I have seen. As for the appearance of the beer itself... weak. It is a light straw yellow with a descent white head. Looks like a pale lager. Lots of fine rushing carbonation. The aroma is very simple and pleasant -- pale malt with a hint of corn and a nice amarillo profile. The flavor is the same, minus the corn. It is nice and dry and resinous with a bit of a citrus character to compliment. The alcohol is also hidden very well. It is a nice meadium body with fine carbonation bubbles; very easygoing on the palate on the whole. Overall: I think this one is a bit underrated. A simple and pleasant beer that far surpasses many regular old pale ales in my opinion. Would like to try it fresh on tap at the Buckeye taproom.
