Aroma: Lots of hops--floral and spruce. Very appealing. Appearance: Sparkling gold with a frothy white head.Taste: Medium sweetness with a light bitterness and medium sourness at the finish. Lots of different tastes happening here--very interesting. Palate: Medium body, thin texture, lively carbonation, with a long finish. Overall: I really enjoyed this beer. Lots of great layers and interesting things happening here. I’m impressed enough to consider stocking a few bottles of this away for a rainy day.

I can’t get enough of this stuff. Had both in a bottle and on tap. This is Buckeye’s Amarillo IPA’s baby brother. Crystal clear with that awesome Amarillo nose. Malty with a fantastic dose of hops. As sessionalble ABV, I could drink this stuff everyday easily. Great new beer from and underrated brewer.

My Bottom Line:
Crisp, soft pale malts build delicate biscuity notes alongside this American Pale Ale’s elegant piney and grapefruity hops for a most delicious pint of Americana.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam decorates the translucent golden.
-This may not be super complex, but I have trouble imagining a more satisfying Pale Ale. Malts and hops are beautifully developed and cohesive.
-This is woefully underrated. Not intense enough for the Ratebeer crowd?
-Balance exists throughout and interest is thus kept from aroma to aftertaste.

Bottle.

Bomber. Very pale golden pour with a thick white head. The nose is quite bright and fruity with a nice lemon peel citrus flavour. Soft of soft and a little bit of cascadey citrus hops. As it warms, the hops sort of shift from herbal to citrusy with a nice assertive hoppiness. Bright and zesty with an almost lemon verbena character to the hops. Very bright and zesty with a lot of nice soft hoppiness. The beer is appropriately dry with a bit of tropical pineapple character. Lingering soft bitterness. It’s a decent soft hoppy IPA.

22 ounce bottle. Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours a mostly clear gold color with about an inch white head. Head retention is decent, and there’s a good amount of lacing left on the glass. Aroma is pine and citrusy hops (apricot, grapefruit), and some toasted/bready malt. Aroma is a bit light, but still nice. Taste is just like the aroma (but stronger), the citrus and pine hops are the strongest flavor while the bready malt is still noticable. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s crisp and a bit oily. Drinkability is pretty good too, it’s refreshing and very easy to drink. It’s not exactly a session brew at 6.5% ABV, but it is pretty easy to drink. All in all, I think this is a good beer.

Bottle courtesy of alexsdad06. Pours gold with a large white head. Smells of sage, wildflowers, citrus. Tastes of citrus, spicy, sweet with a perfumy finish.

22 oz. bottle. Clear orange, medium, dense, white head, marginal lace. Nice fresh hop aroma of pine and grapefruit over a bed of toffee and light stone fruit.. Medium body with pine resin on a dry palate. The flavor offers up some clover honey to start with a citrus peel bitterness that starts to come on mid palate and ushers in a long, bitter, thirst quenching finish. I liked this, a very respectable example of the style.

From a twenty-two ounce bottle purchased at "Keller’s IGA" in Cincinnati, Ohio - This is a fine, nearly textbook example of an American Pale Ale, with the huge hops and malts hold! I like this beer!
