COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
RECIPE: When we brew a beer to be stylistically accurate, we choose ingredients from that respective region. The CBW was chosen to be a German-style Munich Helles. I used German imported malts from Best and Tettnanger hops from Germany. To break this down as 5 gallon all grain batch: 7.5 pounds Best Pilsner malt, 1 pound Best Munich Light malt. About 1oz of Tettnanger. Try to hit around 18-22 IBU’s. Shoot be an original gravity around 1.048 to 1.051. YEAST: I used Wyeast 2124 Bohemian Lager and fermented at 48 degrees F.

16oz can from jsquire. Pours a clear deep gold color with a tiny foamy white head, even after an aggressive pour. Aroma of sweet grain, light citrus, lemon zest, yeast, and a hint of grass. Taste of light orange and lemon citrus, sweet grain, corn, yeast, and grass.

Sample at the Willoughby PBCCP tasting on 11/17/2013: Drove awhile to track this one down but glad I did. The beer pours s clear yellow-gold color with a medium foamy white head that recedes steadily. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of toasted malt and hops. Light to medium body with flavors of herbal hops, grainy malt and a touch of fruit. The finish is mildly bitter with a grassy hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Dark golden beer out of the can with a short lived, rather anemic, white head. Sweet, grainy nose. Lots of cracker and toast with some brown sugar sweetness and a faint lemon finish.

Can from Heinens. Bright clear gold with quick fading white head and a little lace. Grassy clean farmy hop aroma with a hint of honey sweet malt. Noble grassy herbal bitter clean finish. Nails the style. On par with Great Lakes Dormunder. Excellent.

Mild grain and malt aroma, pours a clear light straw with a white head. Light crisp taste, very light mouthfeel. This is an easy drinking lager.
