Glouglouburp (1829), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 14, 2008 In short: A german pilsner with a fruity pineapples twist. Very nice session beer.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Clear blonde body with a medium white head leaving goof lacings.
In long: Pillowy body. Malt profile is white bread, wheat and a little honey. Then comes some dry grass, some floral notes, mild bitterness. An overall pineapples flavour from beginning to end. The wheat, grass and floral aspects really took me to a countryside field. All in all a very flavourful refreshing beer that will take you to a countryside field an make you forget about the gloomy aspects city life, and trust me in Cleveland you’ll really need it. krautdog (14), Ohio, USA May 14, 2008 Must say I was most impressed with this one, a very well done German style pilsner. I had it on draft at the Beer Engine. Poured a very pale straw color with a big, creamy head and very good carbonation. The taste was right on for the style, it reminded me a lot of the pilsners I had last time I visited Deutschland.
19641948 (473), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Apr 9, 2008 Pours a clear golden color with a pillowy bleached white head. Sharp scents of noble hops and husky grain. Flavors snap the tongue with prickly hoppiness and firm malt notes. Quite drinkable and the perfect nominee for a huge dimpled German mass.
