3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Picked up at Belmont Party Supply in Dayton, Ohio on a trip from IL back to NC. Awesome beer store. Lightly hazy amber pour with a 1-finger white head. Can smell aroma of piney hops from 2 feet away. Great balance of a deep caramel/sweet malt backbone and piney citrusy hops. Smooth finish, easy to drink a bomber to yourself. I want more!

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle thanks to fatknitty. Pours a mostly clear copper-amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma is citrus, some tropical fruit, fruit-flavored candy, and some bready malt. Taste is medium sweet, medium bitter, quite malty. Bitter finish. Nice, big, atypical IPA.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Wow... this beer had a freakishly active level of carbonation. It took a half hour to pour this beer before my wife and I were able to drink it. It looks slightly hazy, with a dark/medium pale orange color and an off-white, wickedly billowy head. The lacing is thick and frothy, and looks like itís sticking to the glass with super glue.
The nose is clean and lightly hopped with somewhat fruity, with Cascade hops dominating. Gently. In the mouth, well, Iím actually feeling a little let down here. My wife thinks itís skunky, but I think itís just... odd. Cascade greets the tongue as it enters the mouth, followed closely behind by rich caramel malts. Its body feels just a little too full, and it makes that caramel feel very heavy on the palate. Itís good, donít get me wrong, but where it seems odd to me is mostly in the finish, which is bitter - just lacking. Thereís definitely a strong yeast character that seems to have stuck around. Most likely this excessive yeast was also to blame for the beerís excessive carbonation.
Maybe a thinner body and higher alcohol would help... or maybe less caramel malts. Or maybe a different yeast strain. Iím not sure, exactly, where this is off, but it could go in a few directions for improvement. Itís definitely a heavy IPA. Good, but misses the mark.

Bottle. Pours a nice copper, looks great. Drinkable but nothing distinguishable on this one. Solid but not special.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber courtesy of pellegjr - cheers Joey my friend! Pours hazy amber/orange with billowing off-white head - huge huge head on this chap - plenty of thick lacing down the glass. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, yeast, and a big hit of caramel malt. Taste is very well balanced between the resinous pine and the sticky caramel malt, touches of citrus and yeasty spice in there too. This baby is carbed up to the nines, perhaps too much, but it doesn’t detract from the solid flavour profile. Tasty residual pine resin and citrus bitterness lasts long into the aftertaste. This IPA is certainly on the richer, more malt forward end of the spectrum (which I’m rarely in the mood for these days) but this guy was very enjoyable indeed - great Cascade character.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz. bottle courtesy of agl108. Pours a murky rust color with tons of chunky floaties and a thick & fluffy beige head. Caramel, grapefruits, zesty citrus rinds, and plenty of spices in the aroma. Goes down medium-bodied and kinda doughy. Caramel, green apples, and raisin bread upfront taste-wise. A doughy, biscuity middle. Grapefruits, oranges, and citrus zest at the end. Plenty of spiciness and very nicely balanced the whole way through.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a rusty brown with a very frothy tan head.
Aroma is piney and grassy, slightly sweet.
Bitter spicy palate.
Sort of a bottle bomb. It was very carbonated. Something the brewery did perhaps?

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy orange amber color witha nice 2 finger dense light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of apple, grapefruit, orange rind, caramel, floral, grass, and herbal spiciness. Ok aromas, but they arenít very hoppy for an IPA; kind of weak as well. Taste of grapefruit, pine, caramel, toast, orange rind, floral, grass, bread, and herbal spiciness. Good amount of bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, caramel, pine, bread, and herbal spiciness on the finish for a good bit. Good balance of flavors; good bitterness/sweetness balance as well. No cloying flavors at all. Medium carbonation and body; with a creamy and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a good IPA. Good flavor balance; very smooth and crisp to drink. Enjoyable stuff for sure.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22oz bottle from Dutchís Bar & Bottle Shop in Cincinnati, OH. Pours a clear, copper-gold colored body with a finger-width, creamy and frothy, beige head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is dull pines with some grapefruit resins, oranges, and a medium sweet caramel malt backing. A bit of a vegetal floral backing too. Flavor is similar. Dull pine resins, grapefruit and oranges, some grassy and vegetal hops, and a medium sweet caramel. Finishes dry, lightly sweetened, and has a medium-high bitterness before leaving a lengthy aftertaste. Medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, not a bad IPA, but dry, bitter, lightly sweetened, and fairly lifeless. Eh...

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: pours clear reddish amber, dense off white head that recedes to a pleasant ring. Nose is dough, earth, caramel malts, honey, pine, grapefruit hops. On the tongue, caramel malts and honey sweetness, peppery, citrus hop bitterness from evident dry hopping. Nice bitter finish that lasts for the style. Medium bodied so quite drinkable. Solid offering.
