Tap sample at BBC. Poured clear golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate balanced malt and hop aroma. Medium body with a dry smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer and very good for style.

Tap at Beer Engine. Pale straw-coloured pour. The nose is a bit soft and sweet. Fresh pils malt. Grassy and herbal with a bit of straw. A bit of clean sweetness. Dusty and a little bit herbal as well. Soft and clean. It’s not really kolsh... more of a helles - but either way, it’s pretty solid.

Tap at the brewery. No head. Aroma is a bit lacking, lightly corny, hard to find much complexity. Clean body, good crisp hopping, nice grain. Body is a bit thick for the style, with a slightly solventy finish.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Dogbrick (4828) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 15, 2008
Sample at the brewpub. This beer is a clear pale yellow color with a thin and fizzy white head that dissipates steadily. Thick craggy rings of lacing on the glass. Mild hops and zesty fruit in the nose. Light and clean body with flavors of lightly spiced hops, fruit and pale malt. The finish is mildly spiced with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.
