3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 burg326 (1069) - Florida, USA - MAR 13, 2012
22 ounce Bottle shared by Preismj, poured a light yellow straw color with aromas of prickly pear, paw paw fruit, and some tart strawberries. Flavors of very subtle fruit, the paw paw flavor, light tart strawberries, very light texture on the palate, and a nice beer to enjoy after a long day of stouts at Hunahpu day, thanks Matt for the share.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Brigadier (1938) - Bloomington, Indiana, USA - FEB 13, 2012
22 ounce bottle
A low cost local I picked this one up on a whim. It is a typical Buckeye release - novel, well though out, but ultimately not great. I don’t feel cheated after finishing the bottle. I also will not be recommending this to friends either.
Aroma / Appearance - The semi-transparent golden body has a coppery edge. Bubbly head floats on top like a crust. Mango, sweet potatoes, and additional Thanksgiving notes give this an out of place feel for the middle of winter.
Flavor / Palate - Light and earthy, the malt driven profile is a mix of noble hops and yams. Marshmallows and honey provide more depth without feeling out of place. It might just be my palate but this was not interesting enough despite being out of the ordinary. Give me a bottle of 76 IPA or Hippie instead.

Pours a clear orange gold color with a medium white/tan head. Aroma is slightly sweet and fruity...like kiwi and melon with honey...also smells a bit like a cream soda dum dum lollipop. Flavor follows suit...very unique fruity flavor (I’ve never even heard of pawpaw) and still reminds me of a cream soda dum dum...also some caramel and a hint of butterscotch. Mouthfeel is light/medium and lively with a slightly dry finish that exhibits a bit of spicy hops. Odd and unique but I enjoy it!
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Nephilium (951) - Ohio, USA - OCT 31, 2011
This starts with an interesting light fruit aroma, with hints of strawberries and banana. Pours a clear golden amber, with a tight cap of white head. This is a subtle fruit beer, with just a touch of fruit in the beginning, with it coming forward in the finish. There’s a mild sweetness, and a touch of strawberry. For a style I’m not usually a fan of, this is a beer I can see getting again.
