3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ross (1977) - weddington, North Carolina, USA - SEP 11, 2006Bottle from Sean, thanks. Dark brown color, thick yellow head. Smell is malts and some hops, and a thick yeasty smell. Taste is pretty sweet, but very refreshing. A nice session beer, pretty redeeming after trying the hippie IPA. not too bad.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Lowe1983 (1297) - Dayton, Ohio, USA - FEB 8, 2007
#300 Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of citrus and pine hops, caramel, and a slight hint of spices. Flavor is pretty much the same with a decent bitter finish. A very well balanced pale ale. Plenty of hops, epecially on the finish, but a nice mixture with the malts. Nice, not my favorite, but definetely good.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 thedm (4783) - Fort Wayne, USA - NOV 13, 2006
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that was mostly lasting and left behind a hazy with with yeast swirls softly carbonated brown colored body. The aroma was hoppy and caramel malt. The mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of hops herbs mild spice and caramel. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 illinismitty (2270) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 6, 2006
Bomber purchased at Rivers Bend in Ohio. Pours deep amber orange with a thick pillowy white head. Citrus hop aroma. Medium light mouthfeel and fizzy texture. Llight biscuity malt flavor, countered by spicy hops. I also pick up distracting amounts of diacetyl on the finish, which is bitter and soapy. I did not care for this, nor the Hippie IPA. Perhaps I am getting some bad or poorly handled bottles?
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Terminus (2940) - Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA - OCT 29, 2006
22oz bomber. thanks to vyvvy for picking this up on his trip out east. clear orange with a small off-white soapy head. nose is lighty piney with some diacytl unfortunately. flavors are grapefrupt, resinous hops, and diacytl. the diacytl isnt huge in this beer but just enough to bring down the overall enjoyment here. body is somewhat fizzy and over-cabonated. finish shows the diacytl and piney hops. i would like a diacytl less sample next time
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 cewldre (268) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 18, 2006
Bottle: Pours a nice amber color with a nice white head on it. Aroma is very subtle, but has notes of citrus, and maybe just a hint of pine. Taste has a nice soft citrus and pine feel to it, with just a touch of caramel. There is also a slight bite at the end of each sip which makes this beer very enjoyable.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 redlem (1264) - Ohio, USA - OCT 14, 2006
Certainly tell this is a Buckeye beer from the aroma. A slightly hazy copper color small head. A musty citrus hop aroma. A spicy hop taste. Very good.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 hotstuff (3350) - Indiana, USA - OCT 4, 2006
Bottle purchased at Dilly Deli in Mariemont, OH. Pours a large off-white fizzy head that was mostly lasting, fair quantity of lacing, floaties, hazy, visible carbonation, and an orange hue. Caramel, hoppy, grapefrut, and pine nose. Flavor was grapefruit, pine, hoppy, caramel, bitter hops. Hoppy mouthfeel. Medium body. All-in-all a nice brew for this style.
