Bottle - Poured a pale yellow with small fading head. Fizzy, corn and weepy. Pale and watery, bit dry in the finish.

From a twelve ounce bottle (out of a $10.49 twelve pack) purchased at "Keller’s IGA" in Cincinnati, Ohio - This one poured an orange-hued brew with a tall, rapidly-fading white foam head and a very grassy aroma. Tastewise, this is very much like an early ’fifties medium bodied all grain USA lager, with a very pleasant hops finish. I like it!

Way too soft and sweet sweet malts. Could use a bit more in the hop department to crisp it up a touch. It’s just too syrupy for me.

This beer offended my palate. The flavor was heavy on funk and dust and coppery water. Mouthfeel of syrup. ICK

Bottle. First impression: quite sweet, cereal flavor. Would be a great beer for relaxing in the shade during summertime. Excellent carbonation, excellent taste. Will definitely buy again, although it can be pricey.

Bottle from Shigadeyo. Maumee Bay? Hmmm. I used to date one of the owner’s daughters. Pours golden amber with a white head. Aroma of cream corn and sweet cereal grains. Light bodied with average carbonation. Flavor of pale malts, corny adjuncts, and cereal with lots of sweetness. Some detectable spicy hops. Clean finish. Typical Pale Lager here. Tastes like a sweeter heineken with a tad more body. Meh

Pours a pale yellow with a small white head. Corn and malt aroma. Pleasant, clean pale malt sweetness in the taste as well as some corn. Crisp; refreshing. Obviously supposed to be a 50s retro beer, which it accomplishes in both taste and period label. However, at $11.99 per 12 pack methinks it’s a little pricey for the style.

11/16/2008: Buckeye Sparkling Dry Premium Beer has a light butterscotch aroma, a pale yellow color, no head or crown, a mild to moderate level of carbonation, and a light body. The flavor is dry, dusty, and fruity (some apple), along with some corn. There really isn’t much to this beer. It is a decent beer and and is only mildly refreshing, but it is crisp and does make a pretty good palate cleanser...

12 fl. oz. (355 ml) bottle ("When yoou’re dry... Drink Buckeye") from 12-pack purchased at Jungle Jim’s International Market in Fairfield, Ohio. Rating #26 for this beer...
