22oz bottle: pours a mostly opaque dark mahogany with a spotty-lacing beige head. Has a sweet dark caramel and milk chocolate nose with some piny hop notes. Starts with good fullness and chewy dark caramel and chocolate malts with a touch of roasted coffee and good resiny hop flavors before a drier, slightly warming finish. Has good dark chocolate complexity with some light fruity notes. True to style and enjoyable.

bottle... dark brown, medium tan head, very thin ring... Danish char aroma, bitter, a bit of light chocolate, ok but a bit one noted... the taste is better, charred but not as much a bit thin, but really easy to drink, as it warms the char dies, some nice molasses comes through... pretty solid

Bottle, pours deep hazy black with thin to pretty much no caramel/mocha head. Aroma has notes of herbal hops, some leather, anise, roast, chocolate and coffee. Very interesting aroma, surprising, but in a good way. Very creamy on the palate, light carb adds a bit of body as well. Nice attentuation, with notes of roasted chocolate, coffee, some earthy and herbal hops with a slightly bitter, very lasting and dry finish.

Bottle - thanks to bigmmartin. Inky black pour with a modest ring of creamy brown head. Nose is mild, bittersweet cocoa and hops. The floral and earthy hops presence come out more in the taste, along with baker’s cocoa and roast. It has a sharpness to it, but drinks well... very well.
