savitska (163), Smyrna, Georgia, USA Sep 20, 2004 This is my new favorite dry stout. After romancing over Guinness for many years before I know what I was missing, I realized that sweet or milk stouts are my favorite form of that venerable style. But now I’ve sampled the supremely coffee-and-dark chocolate-accented Black Diamond Stout and suddenly dry stouts are again an option. Great, rich color; fabulous aroma, wonderful mouthfeel (though not all that dry). This is a phenomenal beer. TheBeerCollector (548), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Jun 23, 2004 Well balanced flavor that is dominated by roasted chocolate malt. Medium bodied with lots of carbonation. Coffee flavors come through in the finish. harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Jun 7, 2004 This was an aswesome dry stout. Not overly dry or overly sweet. Perfectly balanced, with just a little too much carbonation. Lots of coffee, creamy roasted richness and subtle dark chocolate flavors in the aftertaste. This one really leaves you wanting another pint. rajendra82 (637), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA Apr 20, 2004 Came from the tap with low carbonation, and an attractive dense black appearance appropriate for the style. Aroma heavy on roasted coffee, and the taste was also dominated by roasty nutty flavors. There was a faint undercurrent of bitter chocolate. The mouthfeel was dry and medium thick. I downed my pint quite easily.
