Bottle. Amber with a thin foam. Aromas are weetabix and caramel with dry tea and chocolate. Nutty with dark syrup and some raisins. Bready yeast with herbal notes. Flavours are sweet chocolate and weetabix with raisins. Some vinous notes with a dry finish. A decent traditional bitter. Peppery on the palate. Nice.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 imdownthepub (7473) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 17, 2012
Bottled, 500ml from Bellingers Garage, Grove, Oxon. Amber with white head, couldn’t fault the appearance. There is a fruitiness in the aroma with a hint of yeast. The beer itself is quite bitter, nice and sharp and drying, some dry caramel mixed with an earthy leafy note. Lasting on the palate, another pretty decent beer from this Brewery.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 downender (4387) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 13, 2012
Cask-conditioned at Bucks and Berks Beeriodical, Seven Stars, Bristol May 2012. Deep amber with a slight, off-white head. Sweet, caramel and red fruit aroma. Flavour had some cereal malts, more fruit and a lengthy, bitter finish. Didn’t quite hang together for me.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Fin (5749) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 12, 2012
Bottle from Bellingers Garage, Grove, Near Wantage, Oxon Feb 2012 consumed Fri 10th Feb 2012 in new Frank (camper) at Briarfields campsite, Cheltenham, Glos weekend of Cheltenham Folk Festival Amber in colour with a white head and a slight haze. Initially I was not overly struck on this beer but then it grew on me somewhat. Some sharp bitterness cuts through any sweetness and fruitiness that dared to linger, even getting a touch of pithiness from the citrus. Pleasant beer with just a slight butteryness that was noticeable and stopped it from scoring higher. A6 A3 T7 P3 Ov14 3.3
