A cousin to our original Clencher, this beer is hopped throughout with Simcoe and Citra, Clencher is loaded with pine and citrus aromas and the body and alcohol to compliment it’s assertive flavors.

12oz can from Binnys in Highland Park. Says "citra" on the bottom, so guess is not the base. Nose is hoppy sweet. Taste is more tangy, orange juice, with resin. Decent, not great. A bunch of these newer CHI breweries have similar "a tick better than homebrewish IPAs". 13.4

Poured from the can of a couple of six packs, I had this before a couple months ago (it might have been the previous version) but I got so ripped I never rated it. Nice cloudy orange, taste is tangy, spicy, strong, orangey, gritty, and dry at the end. Nice 8.1 abv I’m happy I just moved 2 miles away from this place, can’t wait to visit the tap room.

Draft taster at Brixie’s. Amber pour with a bit of haze and a light layer of foam. The smell is strong on grapefruit from the hops. Taste is a regular hoppy IPA, a little less feisty than most hop bombs. Instead, there’s lots more malt support. Easy to drink, since the alcohol is just a touch below the usual DIPA level.

Draft: Poured a pale blonde color ale with a light foamy head. Aroma of citrusy and light tropical hops is offset by some cereal malt notes. Taste is a mix of cereal notes with some light citrusy hops with light floral fruity notes. Body is average with good carbonation. Not bad but appears they are not getting as much flavours form Citra as I had expected.

A pale golden DIPA with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, light biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, light mineral notes, OK. In mouth, a crisp biscuit malt citrusy floral hops, tropical fruit, light mineral notes, nice. On tap at brewery.

355ml can. Light hazed gold pour. Large head. Aroma is melon citrus herbs and toasted malt. Falvor is sweet with a nougat flavor and some acid. Had plenty better...

12 oz can. Citra 3/15/16 stamped on the bottom. Well this was an awesome surprise. To quote my friend Jim after his first sip with a look of amazement on his face, "why the hell is this so good?". Juicy citrus, medium bitterness. Just the right kick of hops but still smooth and palatable. This was a damn good beer.

Entirely average. Little aroma. Sweet. Cloying. Would be nice to harness the power of BELT AND SUSPENDERS and make this better. Offer more. Must have better aroma. This just is muted. Needs a smoother hop taste and less yucky musty bitterness. Love belts. Hated painted turtle this is ok. Come on BDOWN. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz. can stamped with "Citra" on the bottom. Pours a hazed orange with a small rim around the glass. Aroma of tropical fruit, pine, citrus, and medium booze. Flavor is boozy with citrus hop notes. Full, syrupy body with average carbonation. Finishes boozy.
