Amber colour, light malty aroma with some orange character. Orange zest and grapefruit flavours compliment a light malty palate, a distinct acidity makes for an unusually clean, refreshing finish. A little light on the body but not bad overall.

From a 330ml bottle on 16/4/2011. Pours a murky golden orange colour, with lots of yeast sediment floating about. The aroma is fruity and yeasty. Goes down quite nicely, with citrus fruits combining with caramel malt. Has a pretty decent dash of hops at the end. A pretty good English pale.

UPDATED: JUL 30, 2011 330ml bottle. Big fluffy dirty san dcoloured head a top a hazy light copper base. Floral hop aromas and a big bang of flavour hits the mouth, hops again. Balance is spot on and the finish is how you want it.

Bottle 330ml. Not bad. Aroma is floral, with a hint of caramel. Sweet taste, with light bitterness. Oily palate, and thin-to-medium body. Yellow, with a frothy white head.

My favourite of the buckleys variety, deep gold appearance with residual cloudyness present. Fruity ale displaying some tart in the finish. Decent.

Original?- maybe ordinary.Straw coloured body, poor head, fruity hop taste but still pretty boring, it is an ale but that is about all, doughy aroma, sour soft grapefruit taste. Looking at previous ratings I must have got a crook batch.

Looks great in the glass, big white head with very good retention and lacing. Small floral aroma. As said before, carbonation is spot on, the dry malty flavours come though nicely, combined with a light bitterness and a very very clean finish. Great hop profile, one of the best Victorian beers i’ve tasted.

UPDATED: OCT 10, 2009 Much better than previous efforts. Genuine english pale ale / bitter traits here with a very good creamy structure. Indeed, had I only smelt and not tasted I would have unreservedly picked this as English. Slighlt metallic ping in the back palate. The best of the house.

Choos (507) - Taylors Hill, AUSTRALIA - OCT 3, 2004
Aroma: heavy citrus fruit with an inviting hoppy floral aroma. Appearance: great off white head that stayed, orange/brown and cloudy with really lazy bubbles making their way through the brew. Left some lacing. Flavour: hops and citrus flavours that matched the aroma. Palate: magnificently thick.

24 Sep 2004 - Fruit hop aroma. Cloudy orange-brown colour, ordinary lacing but the great head retention redeems the appearance. tarty fruit hop flavour. A bit bitter, with a short palate and a very thick mouthfeel.
