Good color from a traditional English brown ale -- not too dark or murky. Sweet chocolate and hazelnut aromas. The bittering punch from English hops slides into a rougher texture, dominated by bitter chocolate notes and faint citrus. Kind of a mixed bag, but quenching on the finish and balanced throughout.
