BrewDad (2363), Olympia, Washington, USA Sep 17, 2005 A good clean crisp dry beer from St. Louis. Needs, Hops, Malt, barley and maybe and a bit of time in some fermenting tanks. SSSteve (2045), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Sep 12, 2005 tastes the same as regular budweiser without the sharp carbonation in the finish. a little more smooth as well. tastes of grains and crappy malt. AdamSkillin (376), High Bridge, New Jersey, USA Sep 11, 2005 Can. Tastes like can. I don’t know why all the other raters are complaining about the flavor, I can’t even tell that it has one. Also, the lightest colored beer ever. Including light beer. I bought it because I thought they had stopped making this in about 1989. Now I just wish they had. raymow (738), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 8, 2005 What the hell is the difference between Bud Dry and Bud Ice? Let me think, could it be a marketing ploy to get more AB products on store shelves? I wonder? JDiddle77 (12), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Aug 2, 2005 There’s really nothing I enjoy about this beer. The smell is nausiating, the taste is even worse. I enjoy beer that makes me want more, and this is one I had to throw the other five away. KAggie97 (2406), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Jul 24, 2005 A faint dimple of corn and sour water mixed with rice and hops, topped off with a bit of malt. Awful, just awful. mrjd27 (10), Bel Air, Maryland, USA Jul 16, 2005 Very ordinary with regard to all aspects of the beer. Typical of mass produced domestic beer. Nothing special themadmumis (344), Westminster, Maryland, USA Jul 1, 2005 I found this ’gem’ in the very back corner of Beltway Fine Wine in Towson, Maryland. I remember the slogan "Why ask why? Try Bud Dry". Like most of the other raters, I didn’t think this was still produced. Curiosity made the final decision in my purchase and I was pleasantly let down when I tried my first. Bud Dry is like a pre-cursor to Bud Select. Bud Dry apparently wasn’t bad enough, so a decade later, Bud decided to revamp Bud Dry and make Bud Select. Not as good as an original Bud, not worth the price either. $9.00 a 12-pack. It comes with a born-on date, which surprisingly is current. Tastes like crap, but still much better than Miller Lite.
