Mischka (4), Massachusetts, USA does not count Oct 11, 2007 16 oz. cans from local package store. I actually didn’t mind the taste at all, and after drinking 4 pints of the stuff, I found myself pleasantly buzzed yet strangely alert.
Has a mild raspberry taste to it and unlike Red Bull, Monster, etc., it’s not cloyingly sweet at all. Very faint bitter aftertaste, likely from the caffeine. Light golden color, fizzy and pours with a respectable head that fades in seconds.
This is an energy drink disguised as a beer. If you crack one open and expect it to taste anything like a traditional beer, you are going to be disappointed.
If you’re the adventurous type, give it a try. Better than Sparks or the other knockoffs by far. This would be something to bring to a party where the ladies don’t like the taste of beer. At 6.6% alcohol, your mileage may vary. <wink> fro2218 (466), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Sep 27, 2007 Garbage. Who the hell though of this one. Could not have been a brewer. Budbull. HueyBryan (40), Rotan, Texas, USA Sep 4, 2007 I actually liked this one. It tasted like someone accidentally mixed bud in my red bull. It definately gives you wings gave it to a girl I knew and she drank 2 and cleaned all night. Used it on golfcourse and it gave you energy and buzz at same time. kreepindeth (405), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA Aug 15, 2007 More an energy drink than a beer. Sour, sticky, sweet, with touches of artificial berry flavors. Very fizzy, light color. Hard to tell there’s a beer under this. Brewosk (137), Illinois, USA Jul 27, 2007 From a can. Really more like an energy drink than a beer. Some sweet flavor of guarine to go with the corn sour flavor of the beer. Not my idea of a good drink particularly Codythegreat (133), Carrollton, Georgia, USA Jun 10, 2007 Updated: Jul 23, 2007I really don’t know why someone would drink an energy drink and a deppressant at the same time. I was under the impression that they would cancel easch other out; or worse make you crazy. Flavor was pretty good. I had this at Busch Gardens and thought that it was different. It’s just confusing. I doubt anybody is going to drink this to maximize thier physical potential. I had this out of some shot glass looking sample cup. cking (1012), North Canton, Ohio, USA May 31, 2007 Rated 11/25/06: I’m sorry but this just isn’t beer, and it isn’t good either. My uncle got me again on turkeyday this year. He has a knack for getting me to finish his bad choices. Long story short he bought a few of these a year ago choked down two and kept the last one. I drank half of the 16 oz can and dumped the rest. Talked my pops into trying it and I quote "I don’t think I like that son" exactly, no redeeming qualities pure evil. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA May 25, 2007 From a 10 oz. can with a freshness date on the bottom of can, sampled ice cold in a 10 oz. lager glass. I saw this in the iced dollar bucket at a local liquor store and I thought, "Why not try, I’ve drank some pretty awful malt liquors in my time, how bad can this be."
Poured a clear pale lemon soda yellow with a foamy white head, decent retention with lots of carbonation.
A plastic, artificial raspberry flavored candy sweetness, some cotton candy, medicinal alcohol, this is pretty close to being sickly sweet smelling.
Lots of fizzy carbonation and a crisp, dry, thin, soda-like light bodied mouthfeel, not very pleasant, this is tough for me to drink, to fizzy, amplifies the overt sweetness.
This is just too sweet and soda-like for my personal taste, all that is missing is the ice cubes you get with a soda, sugary and artificial raspberry tasting, not much in the way of herbs except for a ginger ale-like taste, faint resemblances of sweet neutral pale malts, heavy on the rice, and a dry, sweet soda finish with a good deal of soda-like acidity.
Sorry, but this is not for me, I really hated this, a drain pour.
