Bud Extra (B-to-the-E)

From a 10 oz. can with a freshness date on the bottom of can, sampled ice cold in a 10 oz. lager glass. I saw this in the iced dollar bucket at a local liquor store and I thought, "Why not try, I’ve drank some pretty awful malt liquors in my time, how bad can this be." Poured a clear pale lemon soda yellow with a foamy white head, decent retention with lots of carbonation. A plastic, artificial raspberry flavored candy sweetness, some cotton candy, medicinal alcohol, this is pretty close to being sickly sweet smelling. Lots of fizzy carbonation and a crisp, dry, thin, soda-like light bodied mouthfeel, not very pleasant, this is tough for me to drink, to fizzy, amplifies the overt sweetness. This is just too sweet and soda-like for my personal taste, all that is missing is the ice cubes you get with a soda, sugary and artificial raspberry tasting, not much in the way of herbs except for a ginger ale-like taste, faint resemblances of sweet neutral pale malts, heavy on the rice, and a dry, sweet soda finish with a good deal of soda-like acidity. Sorry, but this is not for me, I really hated this, a drain pour.

This beer tastes as if you mixed a Budweiser and a Red Devil (an energy drink available at Cumberland Farms). Considering they’re just 10 ozers the strength of this is nothing special. But the taste is bearable. All and all it’s a step-up from regular Bud.

Not a very good concoction, made me kind of queasy. I am not sure if this could be classified as beer

16 oz can: Why the hell not...I’m going to rate this beer/energy drink B to the Eth power. A very light yellow pour almost clear with a thick carbonated white head that doesn’t stick around for long. I can smell it from the glass sitting about a foot away from me. An artificial raspberry candy-like smell with really nothing else discernible. Well, maybe some wet cardboard and corn, but that’s it. Tastes like kool-aid, raspberry Kool-aid. That’s all I can explain about the taste, because that’s all there is raspberry Kool-aid. Palate more raspberries and sugar. Overall, This stuff is made for high school and college students. An Alco-pop....Booooo

Picked it up just for the rating! 10oz can. On my way to the airport, heading to Phoenix. crystal clear, almost a hint of yellow. thin white spacey fizz on surface. aroma of this fizz bomb candy I used to get from the ice cream truck when I was younger that had this foamy crap in the middle of a hard candy. very sour. Tastes like water with a candy dissolved in it. Overall, this better give me a caffeine buzz!!

In the Brickskeller in DC, my colleague and I had just arrived from Ireland are were a little tired, so I asked for 2 vodkas and redbulls, the bargirl said they dont have redbull but have a similar product by Anheuser Busch which has caffiene and gurana in it, fair enough we said and about 8 vodkas later I asked to see the can of this "other red bull" it was then we realised that we were drinking vodka mixed with beer,,, needless to say, in true irish style, we ordered 2 more Says a lot about a beer when you can mix it with vodka and think it is an energy drink

Can obviously- Can’t really say much about this concoction other than it tastes like a mix between Bud and Red Bull. A beer that gives you wings.

Can from Party Town, Ky. Poured a clear pale amber with a small creamy white head that diminished quickly but did leave fair lacing. Light sweet fruity aroma. Light to medium body with fizzy carbonation. Light sweet fruity flavor with light sweet finish of short duration. I would not reccommend this to a freind.
