Margaritas, the classic summer cocktail, are getting a fresh twist this summer with todayís national launch of Bud Light Lime Lime-a-Rita, the latest addition to the growing Bud Light portfolio. Blending the flavor of an authentic margarita with a refreshing splash of Bud Light Lime, Lime-a-Rita is an 8%* ABV margarita-flavored alcohol beverage that meets a growing demand among adult drinkers seeking sweeter alternatives.

There is nothing beer about this. Yellow, very sweet, tastes like a margerita. No head. No hops. No malt. Slight corn. This is more like a mikes hard lemonade.

My two favorite summer drinks are BL Lime and Margaritas, so this is a no-brainer for me. If you like the quick grabs, like mikes harder, then this one is for you. Not a beer, but a malt beverage. Itís not great quality by any means. It tastes slightly artificial compared to a real margarita, but for what it is, itís great. Love the 8% ABV and low sugar content compared to similar drinks, especially traditional margaritas. Great for beach, boating or poolside. Perfect for any occasion a red solo cup is appropriate. Definitely take the cans advice and serve over ice, huge difference. I gave this a high overall because it great for what it is, just donít take it too serious.

Chastise me if you will, but this one lives up to the labelís claim. It is, in nose and taste, a margarita with a touch of beer. Lime, tequilla, and beer. Itís simple, itís kinda tasty, and I would rather drink it than a margarita from a typical Mexican restaurant.

Ha, canít believe I am actually rating this, but oh well. Itís a carbonated margarita that kicks out 8% ABV. Definitely great for the wife.

24 oz can bought at a local convenience store. Smells and looks a margarita--pale cloudy yellow, limey boozy aroma. Tastes like a margarita, too--not a top quality one by any means, but serviceable. Highly carbonated, like Bud Light Lime. This is no masterpiece, obviously, but Iím sure it would taste pretty good on the beach in the summertime...if you shut off your brain and donít think too much about what youíre actually drinking.

Pours a cloudy pale yellow - looks like lemonade. Aroma is a margarita. Tastes like a sweet margarita mix with an odd, but not offending, metallic taste after the swallow. Whatever.

Well, I didnít want PorterPounder to suffer the embarassment of being the only one to have rated this. Basically, smells like a margarita, tastes like a margarita, looks like a margarita. No discernable beer characteristics. That said, this is the best non-tequila margarita that Iíve gotten from the minit mart.

Tallahassee, FL - Pan Gas Station - 24 oz can. Pours a murky dark yellow with no head - looks like margarita mix. Aroma has some hints of cheap margarita mixer, the kind you get in a margarita when they are are on sale at a Tex-Mex place for 99Ę. Flavor is slightly sour and industrial-like. Reminds me of artificial lime gelatin, bottom shelf margarita mix and lime-aid. Mouthfeel has a bit of a sticky, pasty feel to it with a funky aftertaste. Better than a skunked cheap wanna-be craft beer - but thatís about it. Drinkable.
