Margaritas, the classic summer cocktail, are getting a fresh twist this summer with today’s national launch of Bud Light Lime Lime-a-Rita, the latest addition to the growing Bud Light portfolio. Blending the flavor of an authentic margarita with a refreshing splash of Bud Light Lime, Lime-a-Rita is an 8%* ABV margarita-flavored alcohol beverage that meets a growing demand among adult drinkers seeking sweeter alternatives.

8oz can, purchased from a Tops. I couldn’t resist. I had been drinking Margaritas all weekend long and this didn’t seem much different, especially considering that it was only $1. After 12 minutes in the freezer, I cracked this delectable treat. In a rocks glass, it was milky and looked of fresh sewage, green tint and all. Aroma lacked alcohol, surprising at 8% and stank of fake lime flavor. This wasn’t nearly revolting, except for the diabetes causing level of sugar that made this taste sweeter than 15 bags of skittles eaten all at once, if that were possible. Toxic sugar alcohol sludge.

8 oz. can for $1, found at Kroger. Tried along side the other 4 varieties. This one was my favorite of the bunch. It pours a margarita color with a small white head that lasts as a wispy film and ring. It smells and tastes like a margarita, too, with lime juice, agave, and some sweetener. There’s some tartness in there. Light-bodied, with moderate to medium carbonation and a dry, tart, sweet mouthfeel. Slightly artificial, but overall it’s exactly what it promises to be.

Can from the grocery store. Pours a hazy light gold. Aroma of limes and watered down agave. Taste exactly what I expected: a bud light margarita.

8oz can. Lime and booze is what we have here. Reminds me of a vodka and lime, which I like, but not of beer, which it is supposed to be. Maybe a little grain is the aftertaste. Drinkable alcohol delivery system, cheap and dirty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tried it once (that’s enough). Redeeming characteristics : Very magarita-like (if you like those, this is for you); but very little beer taste and over-the-top sweetness. ABV at 8% makes up for not being beer-like. Cheap buzz basically.

Served as a slush with mixed in Mangorita. Jsut pure booze, didn’t think you could ingest this much booze into a beer. Also heavy artificial lime.

Can in the TLF checking out the beach options. Lime dominates the aroma and flavor here with not much else happening. It really does taste fairly similar to a margarita but not much like beer at all.

It looks like Bud Light. Very pale straw, a quick fizzy head is all you get.it smells actually than bud or bud light because the lime nose masks most of the cereal and corn aromas. Very little bitterness, its quite sweet though, as well as on the finish. Its a bit weighty too, I initially thought this was a 5% er but by reading the can I see it is not. It may be heresy to rate this any higher than 2, but I could drink this again.....and probably will.

Large can. Fizzy yellow with a greenish tinge. Flavor and aroma almost entirely of lime. Spritzy lime juice, very sweet, and a bit of bud light. Not a good beer, but a fairly tasty beverage.
