2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bright pink, sticky looking with no head. Nose is bright (not Ribena quality fake sweetness) and inviting from the get-go. Initial taste is softly sweet, decent enough buzz before it paddles out too far for the maltiness. Finishes neatly sweet - good enough for me - swift ligner fades fast. Perhaps I should have had it over ice.

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
A few friends and I took in a recent Foo Fighters concert and were drinking up various 24 ounce cans of beers. Pabst Blue Ribbon, Miller High Life and Beck’s all went down fine on a humid summer’s night. Then much to my shock I’m handed a giant can of Lime Raz-Ber-Rita. I think my buddy got caught up in the selection and wanted us all to try something different. Different may not be the best way to describe this so called beer. Chemical raspberry flavor dominates this almost malt beverage. Maybe poured over ice would have been better than directly out of the can. I’ll stick with Pale Lagers when drinking out of giant cans at a rock concert.

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Can. A hazy, candy red drink almost without head or visible carbonation. The aroma is very candyish, raspberry candy that is. Artficial and sugary. There’s a little boozy touch to the flavor, but as in the aroma, the artificial raspberry candy dominates. There’s some warmth on the palate, it’s sticky and full-bodied, and the flavor lasts for a good while. An artificial candy bomb. 150615
