1.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 GG (1980) - NorCal, California, USA - JUN 8, 2009
While Miller’s Chill might be the worst thing ever created by man, this isn’t too far from that descriptor either. I understand the attraction of beer and lime and while I particularly don’nt enjoy it I know that we are just too lazy to squeeze a f’n lime in our bottle....we want it already there! So a few waves of the magic want and we have several beers on the market with "lime" in them.
The beer pours out a straw yellow color with a standard pale lager foamy head which melted suprisingly quickly. Aroma was lime. Flavor was lime. Both neither had a true, fresh lime smell, but rather some kind of scratch n sniff, powder like quality to it. If you like squeezing a quarter of a lime in your beer, hey...good for you. I’d stay far away from this as possible. Nothing natural about it.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 FROTHINGSLOSH (3205) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 6, 2009
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a pale yellow color with a medium sized white head. The aroma was a bit dry with a mild artificial lime element. The flavor was dryish artificial lime and not a whole lot else. Blah.
0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 Onslow (639) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - JUN 5, 2009
If this was ratebeverage.com, instead of ratebeer.com, I’d give this higher marks. It looks like watery flat beer, but tastes like water with a bit of sweetness and one dimensional artificial lime flavor. Sorta like watered down artificial limeaid. But with 4.2% abv, whoo hoo.
If you don’t like beer and want a beverage that looks like beer but doesn’t taste like beer, this might be a good choice. Ginger ale would be a better choice.

meh...........bud light to begin with is basically water, so this is seriously like drinking Lime Perrier. There is no resemblance of beer here.

I used to grab a beer like this to tick away the ratings, but in this case, I was at NASCAR for the first time w/ my boy, and I ran out of Dale’s Pale’s. Well, BL Lime was really the best next option. Now I’ve gotta rate it to ensure a legendary association with a unique event for me. Rating is pretty simple, straight out of the 16L pretty bottle, two servings of it: it tasted like watered down Sprite. Not much other character, and it was quite refreshing, despite the fact it didn’t remind me of beer. I was sure to check around and make sure others were drinking it too, didn’t wanna be that fruity candy-bottomed suburbanized boy at the races.... or at least I didn’t want it to be obvious. Cheers to Bud for helping me associate beer with this memorable experience! (Mouthfeel was soda-like, no idea about the color, aroma was limey, which was nice, it covered any and all rice/adjunct notes.)

As if bud light wasnt bad enough... Same as bud light, with a hint of mexico. Tastes a bit contrived.
