1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 BBB63 (5023) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - APR 30, 2008
Bottle and served in pint glass: Straw hued with a fizzy head and spotty lace. The aroma has notes of lime soda, DMS, cereal, and some mineral water. The taste is basically lime juice and light grains with a short veggie aftertaste. Well it is thin and lively, I guess it would be as refreshing as normal BL. Unlike the Blue Moon Spring Ale which had some taste this is pretty much no different than drinking a bad lime soda. Makes Miller Chill look world class. (I like lime and hated this, that should tell you something)
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 JPDIPSO (4957) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 9, 2008
Straw color with a white, wispy head. Aromas of lime and perhaps a bit of malt if you sniff real deep. Actually tasted like a light brew with a fresh squeeze of lime. Not what I want, but a simple refreshing light beer. Albeit very simple and on the verge of soda water and lime . Thanks for the sample Marie.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 blutt59 (4926) - Dallas, Texas, USA - AUG 8, 2008
bottle, straw yellow, fizzy imitation of corona with lime but a little more crisp
1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 beerguy101 (4925) - Newark, California, USA - JUN 1, 2008
This pale lager pours a light gold color from a 12oz clear bottle. Small to medium sized quickly diminishing white foamy head. The aroma is lime sweet tart and some cereal. A light bodied lager. The malts are cereal and grain. The hops are very mild and slightly spicy. A semi sweet lime flavor overrides pretty much everything else in this beer, and that may be a good thing. It tastes more like a lime soda, a 4.2% alcohol lime soda, but a lime soda nonetheless. Lively carbonation. This is not as good as the Michelob Ultra fruit beers. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter with a touch of lime.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Skyview (4880) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - MAY 27, 2008
Hopefully another short-lived beer fad. From a 12-oz clear bottle pours a clear golden pale brew with a fast dissolving white head. Aroma of bready malt and citrus hops with expected lime tartness. Finish is metallic and a mild lime zest aftertaste. Sorry A/B, but fresh squeezed lime juice is always better.
0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 HogTownHarry (4872) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - OCT 31, 2008
Bottle (12oz - clear). shared by biegaman with me and blankboy. Clear, flat, pale yellow, no head. Smells like sweet plastic with cheap lime added - maybe some corn and fusel burn-y-ness. Taste is mostly weak acidic lime, with an ugly corn/driftwood/dead weeds ugliness in the tail. Thin, slightly sticky mouthfeel, acidic and harsh, tries to be carbonated but fails - this shizz would make good date-rape swill.
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Dogbrick (4829) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 2, 2008
Bottle at a wedding reception. The beer is a clear pale yellow color with a thin and fizzy white head that burns away quickly. Spotty lacing. Lime and corn aroma. Light-bodied without much flavor aside from the artificial lime and salt character. The finish is bland and uninteresting and features more of the same faux lime. Overall I am not sure that not wanting to appear rude by not drinking a beer handed to me was worth it.
1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 heemer77 (4792) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - APR 30, 2008
Light gold body with a bright white head. The aroma is like Sprite with a lime wedge added. There is also some Rice Crispies cereal. The taste is watered down sprite with some old cheap cereal. Wow, this is pretty bad and inferior to Miller Chill. Especially as the lime is not just a hint, but the dominant character and it’s done in a cheap, fake way.
1.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 Beershine (4718) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - AUG 22, 2008
Takin’ one for the team with this. Came served in an individual ice bucket. Clear gold color with eerie glow. Lemon, graham and key lime aromas. Aerated and fizzy mouthfeel. Sticky palate leaves a hideous thick candy coating on the tongue. Like drinking the juice squeezed from a plastic lime. Gets less amusing by the sip.

Ridiculous. It’s not even good lime flavor ... it’s like that nasty sweet stuff that comes in the giant plastic squeezy lime thing. This is beer made for people who don’t like beer. (#3736, 11/14/2009)
