COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bud Light Platinum has reinvented the category of light beer. Within each cobalt blue bottle lies a bold formula thatís triple filtered with a smooth finish to create its stop shelf taste. Its the first of its kind, and the only beer worthy of the name Bud Light Platinum.

Looks like bud light! Smells like bud light! Stronger than bud light! What more could you want! The finest of the bud lights I would say! And in a blue glass bottle! Fancy fancy.

Bottle. Pale gold with a thin white head. Nose of light grains and carrots. The taste is sweet with lots of dough and even hints of mushroom soup. The finish is like sugared up corn flakes. Super nasty.

Light to no aroma. Poured clear and straw yellow. Letís get right to it, the 6% alcohol. This tastes excatly how you think it would, a bud light with more heat from the additional alcohol. Overall not terrible, but ill stick with craft beer.

355ml bottle. Thereís nothing platinum about this beer except the name. Very light and watery in the mouth with a ghastly grain flavour. Typical mass produced pale lager with a horrible aroma and light pale colour and a thin wispy head.

Pours from a bottle with no head. Lightly golden and easily transparent. No different than that of a normal bud light. Faintly unpleasant skunky aroma. Light taste with a somewhat surprisingly syrup texture on the back of the throat. No aftertaste whatsoever.

Bottle. Finally convinced someone to sell me a single and not hold my nuts to the fire for a sixer or case. Pours gold, deeper than pale lagers, with white fizzy head. Nose was pale malt, corny, mild hops. Tasted pale lagery, corny, with some cloying sweetness and finishing hops. Indeed, this is like a Colt 45 with a bit more smoothness. I agree with a prior poster that said that you could save some money by just buying Steel Reserve.

Pours a golden piss yellow with a small white head. Some lacing. Aroma of wet grass, skunk, and booze. Taste is harsh, lots of CO2, burns the back of the mouth.... watery, sour finish. Save the dollar and buy the original Bud Light.

The best thing about this beer is the shiny blue bottle. The taste isnít much different than any of the other big light beers but if you want the higher alcohol content without good taste you might as well go with a cheap ice beer.

Bud Light Platinum pours crystal clear and golden yellow. Slightly darker than regular Bud Light from what I remember. The snow white head dissipates quickly. Slightly sour pilsener malt aroma. Flavor of sweet malt. A touch of honey, perhaps, but mostly just clean pilsener malt. Not as much adjunct flavor as regular bud light. The body borders on watery, but doesnít quite cross that line. Highly carbonated and very drinkable. Overall, itís good for a BMC beer and I can appreciate it for what it is. This could be my weeknight drinker if it were a little lower in alcohol. But I guess that would defeat the point.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale straw yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly and nearly completely to the edges. Aroma has lots of sweet grain with a good amount of hay and a bit of stale sweet bread. Flavor has sweet grains with stale bread a hint of alcohol and hay.
