COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bud Light Platinum has reinvented the category of light beer. Within each cobalt blue bottle lies a bold formula thatís triple filtered with a smooth finish to create its stop shelf taste. Its the first of its kind, and the only beer worthy of the name Bud Light Platinum.

Blue bottle. Basically clear yellow pour. Nose of cereal grain, light metal, touch of vegetable, and a bit of oat and wheat. Not actually completely horrendous, but not good in any way whatsoever.

An extremely pale yellow pour with a thin white head. There is virtually no aroma to speak of. It has light body with a crisp texture and fizzy carbonation. The taste has a very faint fruitiness, like a bad, overly carbonated wine.

Blue bottle. No aroma at all. Flavor is practically non-existent. Not even in the way that Bud Light has no flavor. This just doesnít have flavor. I compared it to setting a glass of mineral water next to a glass of actual beer and hoping the water would absorb flavor via osmosis. The result is Bud Light Platinum.

12 oz. bottle at a local Greek restaurant in St. Louis. Served in a 10 oz. glass for some reason. Blue glass, how special. Pours a very, very light, pale yellow-gold with a finger of fizzy white head. Not much aroma here, but nothing unpleasant- pale malts, sugars, some fruity sweetness. Same with the flavor, sugars and dry, pale malts and a metallic note. Is that platinum? I guess this is marketed at the aggressive frat boy/underage drinker crowd, more bang for your buck. I guess itís nice to have something cheap that delivers the goods without being nasty.

Blue twist off. Luckily found a single that I just was going to sample and give to someone else. It starts out just like mineral water but has a nasty tangy aftertaste. I havenít vomited since I was 8 years old but this made me cringe, something beers rarely make me do, even adjunct lagers or infected beers.

Other than the unusual blue bottle there are no outstanding qualities about this beer. Matter of fact, the blue bottle is the only difference between it and Bud Light. Decent cheap beer on a hot summer night...

Strange combo. Time for some "beer math": This only has 8 calories less than Regular Budweiser, but it has 20% more alcohol. It has 10% more alcohol than Bud ice. But Bud Ice only has 123 calories per 12 ounce serving. This looks and smells like regular old Budweiser. It tastes like Bud Light with a bit less watery flavor. If youíre thinking of drinking this to save calories, forget it. If youíre drinking for an alcohol buzz, THIS might be your brew. Itís not Colt Blast, but 6% is nothing to sneeze at. This does not have the syrupy consistency that 6% malt liquors have, and it doesnít have that weird alcohol taste that many ice beers have. There is no maltyness or hops detected, but the flavor is not without itís charm. Itís kind of grainy, but I donít know if the grain is corn or rice. I donít detect corn, but I donít detect the sweetness that rice beers exhibit. Could it contain both corn and rice? I never thought Iíd say this, but this is the first high alcohol thirst quencher Iíve ever had. I wish this site had a category for value, though, as Iíd give this a 0!!! $6.49 for 6 pack of it is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy over priced. Otherwise itís really not too shabby! -P.K. Beitz.

This beer is horrible. I honestly dont even know how to rate the aftertaste I was very dissapointed I guess you cant always just think it taste good because it says "platinum" this beer is very overpriced.

This beer has more taste than your typical Bud Light...more of a grain alcohol taste. Still, this is a watery beer with little taste, so if this is the same price as regular Bud Light, go with this one for the extra booze.

Bottle thanks to swalden28. Just terrible - InBev is obviously trying to combat the recent craft beer boom with disguisting crap like this. Piss yellow pour, metallic and grainy. Cheap adjuncts all over this. Laughable.
