COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bud Light Platinum has reinvented the category of light beer. Within each cobalt blue bottle lies a bold formula thatís triple filtered with a smooth finish to create its stop shelf taste. Its the first of its kind, and the only beer worthy of the name Bud Light Platinum.

OK, Iíll give them a point for the blue bottle. Pours with a huge white head. Smells like yer usual Bud Light - powdery, Saazy. A little tangy, underhopped, pretty bland. I guess to make it a 6% ABV light beer, they had to remove all the interesting carbs. Goes flat, watery body, slightly tangy finish. Picked this gem up at the Circle K at Betton and Thomasville. Might just want to go with the Natty Ice if youíre looking for high ABV - itís got more flavor and itís cheaper.

Itís bid light only at 6% abv. I assume this will get me drunk faster during a ball game. Nothing really different here ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Basically a sweeter version of bud light. Donít waste your money. Slight taste of pinapple, this stinks.

Tallahassee, Fl - Publix - Lake Ella - 12 oz bottle (actually blue.....jumped the appearance rating up from a 1 to a 2). Little to no head on the light golden pour. Twinges of metal in the aroma, some wet paper bag. Flavor has some honey sweetness, a bit of grassiness, some cereal-like graininess. Tastes like a malt liquor with the edges rounded off. Mouthfeel is a tad harsh. I can see this doing pretty well - "hey, itís Bud Light and itís stronger - just like Canadian beer!".

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2013 Gold pour with a fizzy white head. Head lasted for about 3 seconds. Awesome. Sweet grainy alcohol water with a lot of fizz, minimal if any lasting flavor in this one. A bit of citrus hops and just a touch of grape drink floating around if I really look for it. Maybe a bit sweeter than the regular, but I didnít notice much else side by side. Not sure how they pulled that off. Good beer, hope they make a chelada platinum version as well.

The aroma is rather offensive, lots of rotten corn and pee. The flavor contains some over cooked cabbage, tin foil, corn, and listerine. Im no beer snob I will happily drink a Miller Lite when in Rome but this is total junk. Bud Ice is delicious compared to this.

Pours a light golden color. Lacks a clean, crisp taste, but instead has a flat, slightly sweet aftertaste. At least it has more body than Bud Light.

Ok, so this is the latest and greatest thing to come from the Belgians? I kid. It smells weakly of lemony corn. Crystal clear yellow thin snow white head. cane sugar flavor with a lesser lemony tang, little malt or even cereal grain quality. Certainly no hops. Diluted overly sweet lemonade. Created for people who want a cheap drunk but donít like the flavor of beer. Bitch, please.

Interesting brew. Who exactly is this aimed at? The 6.0% alcohol content does the trick. Making this a session beer would not work unless you want to be totally drunk. Flavor is light-malt-liquor. Sweeter than regular bud light. No head, like bud light. Superior carbonation. Makes you think you can session this, but I am not fooled. Good "light" beer to enjoy two or three, but thatís it for me.

I bought a 6pk of this from Woodmanís in Janesville, WI for $6.39 in early 2012. Pours a very pale yellow color almost like it is a glass of tainted water. A slight head but it disappears quickly. Not too strong of a scent, mostly just hints of cheap earthy grains. The taste isnít too bad. It has a sweet, easy, drinkable texture. Only a slight reminisce of beer in the after taste. Definitely would take this over a Bud Light or MGD 64.
