COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bud Light Platinum has reinvented the category of light beer. Within each cobalt blue bottle lies a bold formula thatís triple filtered with a smooth finish to create its stop shelf taste. Its the first of its kind, and the only beer worthy of the name Bud Light Platinum.

Tasted at the 2012 St. Louis Centennial Beer Festival from bottle into sampler glass. Poured a predictable clear, light golden color with weak white head, no lace. Weak aromas and flavors of mass-produced light lager: mild malt, no detectable hops, adjunct sugars. Mostly neutral, not outright offensive, but just plain not-good. 6% ABV, is that the whole point? So what.

Bud Light Platinum has a thick white head and a clear, straw appearance with few streaming bubbles, but a decent amount of lacing. The aroma is a combination of alcohol, sweetness, husks, and grain, and the taste is richly sweet (cloying), grainy, of rice, sharp, and fairly bold, with a touch of hop bitterness at the back end of the sip. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Bud Light Platinum finishes pretty crisp, clean, refreshing, and easy drinking. I think A-B/InBev may have struck gold with this one (or , should I say platinum). Itís a winner, and itís head and shoulders above the dull and flaccid Bud Light. I think weíll be hearing a lot about this one! RJT

Bottle. Pours light yellow and clear with basically no head at all. What little aroma there is is sweet with a bit of corn and malt. Flavor is also kind of sweet, not in a good way. Oily with a hint alcohol. Pretty disgusting. Worse than its lower alcohol brethren.

wicked sweet cobalt blue bottle. pours a clear pale gold. they forgot to add head in the beer! nose is clean. very hard to pick up. palate is more syrupy with less painful carbonation than itís sibling but still manages to be fairly quick and dry. sweetens as it warms somewhat. flavors hint at white grapes and corn. this is great.. now i have something that will give me a buzz at concerts and sporting events! i hope this works out. when is "white gold" hitting stores? cubic zirconia? iíll be here all night folks.

Head falls quickly and pour is pale clear yellow. Taste is some possible hops, mild fruits, and straw and slight alcohol aromas. Flavor is smooth alcohol mostly with some sweet malts. This is one poor excuse for a beer.

Pours a clear pale yello with a thin white head. Aroma has a sweetness and smells of hay. Has a bit of a watery mild vodka taste without the burn...some mild hay notes. Mouthfeel is watery and the finish is abrupt.

Light taste without the waste. Now seriously, light pale color. Slightly sweet taste.

Pours a pale, very light golden color. Aroma is similar to a normal bud or bud light. Light malts, corn, barley, and hops. Flavor is the same, just a little bit more boozy. Leaves a stale hops finish. Another AB product that doesnít impress. The bottle is a cool blue color though.
