Bud Light Platinum has reinvented the category of light beer. Within each cobalt blue bottle lies a bold formula thatís triple filtered with a smooth finish to create its stop shelf taste. Its the first of its kind, and the only beer worthy of the name Bud Light Platinum.

Found a bunch of aluminum bottles at LCBO decided to take one home to sample thinking this might be bad to get 6 pack if I didnít like. So opena and pour out, sort of clear thin white head goes away quick. Aroma is pretty flat some ceral notes. Take a drink, sweet , then bland, smooth but not much ends on a uninspiring note. Well overall this is somewhat better than Bud light itself a compeltely uninspiring beer, but this does not elevate to any great level. This is not a beer I would seek out. If this is an attempt to create a higher level product of significance and great sale potential, then it is a fail.

Bottle split at Cotts Convention 2, thanks to 3 way action from some well known deviants, 05/03/16. Pale golden blonde with a moderate off white head. Nose is cereals, grain, pissy notes, bread. Taste comprises light caramel, spent grain, straw, light melon infuse. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Where is the boost ???

Drank from a bottle. Aroma is sweet bread and some fruit. Flavor is a sickly sweet bread and a sugary, syrupy flavor. Almost boozy, surprisingly for its 6%. Well carbonated with a light body. Nothing great.

Pours a nice golden yellow color. Aromas of malts, hops, and a touch of pine. Flavor has a nice crisp taste with a clean dry finish.

Bottle share at Cotteridge II as Bud Light Platinum. Many thanks to Macboost and the West Midlands crew. Pale yellow, still, clear, small foamy white head. Aroma is malty, airy, ready salted crisps. Body is smooth, soft carbonation, quite light. Taste is thin malt, biscuit, crackers, soft bitterness. Better than most of the malt liquors tried on the day. Though the ABV is a touch low for this to be considered a malt liquor. (1.9)

Bought pretty much anywhere. Pours almost clear, light yellow. Puffy head that quickly vanishes. Tastes of corn, water, watered down cardboard. Feels watery. Overall? It just PISSES ME OFF that one of the biggest brewers LIES to the public about how great their product is. The fact of the matter is that the ONLY saving grace is that the beer Budweiser produces is CHEAP and easily drinkable with nothing all that offensive. Sure, this beer isnít horrible. Want horrible? Go get Milwaukeeís Best or some Old English 800. I will say the beer itself isnít horrible, itís just nothing special.

22-ounce bottle poured into a pint glass. Very little aroma, little taste (and the taste that was there was rather gross), not particularly attractive in a glass, and overly carbonated. Didnít have too high of expectations for it and it delivered. How can they be allowed to have "top shelf taste" listed on the bottle?

Bottle. Cotteridge Beano v2. Oh shit, this was ghastly. Sugary, grainy, syrupy artificial tasting nonsense.

Bottle thanks to MacBoost / Rich / Sarky at Cotteridge Convention 2016. It pours very pale gold with a medium white head. The aroma is simple, relatively clean (for a malt liquor), grainy, cracker white bread and kitty litter. The taste is crisp, white bread, bread, corn, general sweetness, cracker and cereal. Light - medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Sweet and relatively. Thought this would have been much worse.

Bottle shared at the Cotteridge Convention - 2016 edition. Many thanks to Mr. MacBoost for providing this one. Pours totally clear, pale yellow with a foamy, white head. The nose holds cereal and general pale grains. Medium sweet flavour with creamy grains, cereal, corn. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary finish with more sweet cereal. Pretty OK stuff, really. A rather ílightí malt liquor.
