Introduced nationally in 1982, Bud Light is brewed with a malt and hops ratio different from Budweiser for a distinctively crisp taste with fewer calories.

You can do better for the price if all you want is a cheap American macrobrew. Still, it’s a standard because people don’t really care as long as it is refreshing, at that it is.

A true testament to a marketing department who can sell even the most repulsive bile to the masses. The label on the most current bottles states Bud light is brewed using only ’the finest grains’... I find it interesting that they replaced the old slogan that listed rice as one of the principal ingredients. Why would they not continue to boldly advertise the usage of a rich, flavorful grain like rice? Do you remember the episode of ’The Simpsons’ where the mafia was milking rats to sell to kids? I’m reasonably certain that Budweiser uses this same process, only they connect their equipment to a different orifice. The fact that the FDA allows Bud Light to be foisted upon us as ’beer’ is one of the great American travesties. It lacks any distinctive flavor, save that ever present ’skunk’ that relentlessly assaults your tongue like a drunken prom date.

Light in taste - that’s for sure. Too much carbonation. Basically drinking oates and rice. Yeah - it might work on a hot summer day - but I’d rather go with a Corona.

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2006 Rerate On tap at a Florida State basketball game...Sad that this is what most of America thinks of as beer. Nothing in it resembles anything similar to a beverage brewed from malt, hops, yeast and water. I taste nothing but pasteurized chemicals and it feels very srtifical. Aroma - chemicals. Looks like a beer though. Original 1.7 Hey - they’ve got good commercials!

I would like to make a formal apology on behalf of my country for making this beer and selling it to the rest of the world. This is absolute crap.
