Introduced nationally in 1982, Bud Light is brewed with a malt and hops ratio different from Budweiser for a distinctively crisp taste with fewer calories.

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2011 Re-rate from my earlier "bashing" rant. Aroma of hay, a little grass and not much else. Appearance is light gold with white, fizzy head. Flavor matches the nose; just very smooth, nothing offensive, and thirst quenching. Palate is actually pretty bubbly for a macro. I won’t drink this again, unless it’s free, but I find that when shoving my biases aside that this beer has it’s merits- just not too many.

Only reviewing it because I’m a completionist. This sucked when I was high school. Haven’t touched it since ’90 and won’t ever again. I’d rather go thirsty than drink a BL.

Extremely pale yellow, with thin white head. Thin watery flavourless. I have written far to much anyway!!!!

No taste, basically water. One beer I might actually turn down with no alternatives.

Yes, A-B/IB are masters of consistency, but this beer (more like mineral water) is consistently awful. If this was what all beers were like, I’d drink cola. RJT

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2009 Pours a light golden hue from the 12 oz. bottle: A relatively quick disappearing head. The overwhelming fizziness in the beer takes away all the taste and there is no aroma. #018 on 14062009, DG.

Pours gold piss color with head that leaves the scene quickly. Skunk corn, rice smell. I think they waived a couple of hops over the beer. Light bodied. Barley, possibly some malt on the palate. Does not stick around at all though. Another beer to drink when free!

Part of a glass (mom is in town). Virtually no smell - just a hint of malt/yeast, but basically nothing. Tastes very mild, a little malt, maybe a hint of rice, high carbonation, finishes as watery as they come. It’s maybe the best (certainly the least offensive - probably because it has almost no taste) of the American llight beers. Is it "good beer"? No, but it’s not horrendous - After ~1/3 of a glass, I didn’t necessarily want to pour it out or run screaming or anything, but I did want to give it back to Mom and go grab a beer that had some taste.
