Appearance: Clear light amber with thin white head which was quick to disappear. Aroma: Herb, grassy, pepper, bread and slight corn. Taste: Medium sweetness, low/medium bitterness and low sourness. Palate: Thick smooth texture, light body, average carbonation, lingering sweet/bitter malty finish. A bit cloying. Comments: Tasty but very sweet.

330ml bottle from my local Co-Op of all places. Really quite impressed by their ability to source these random rarities. This doesn’t really bare much relation to normal Budvar. Obviously it has a higher ABV but it’s hidden well without much of the sickly sweetness I expected. Overall, an ok beer but would choose the original any day.

Better than your average and hides the alcohol level surprisingly well for a light amber lager. On the darker side of amber with finger of head and lively carbonation. Aroma of sweet malt and pilsner as well as floral notes and spice. Solid malt character with classic pilsner hops coming through. Leads to a dry averagely bitter finish

Bottle. Golden blonde. Soft maltaroma with hints of grass and candied fruit. Malty sweetish, slightly alcoholic flavor with hints of grass. A strong lager of decent quality, yet nothing exciting.

Test vom 22.12.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 13,13,13,13,14,13 - 13,05
