The aroma is very sweet with honey and caramel prevalent. The taste is really quite nasty and chemical. Far, far too sweet and with notes of toilet cleaner. Not at all impressed. bluevegie (2231), Perth, Australia
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 16, 2005 Clear amber honey body with a full size white head that didn’t want to hang around for too long. Hops and malt blended well in the aroma. Taste is what I expect from an altbier, but it falls away to a thin finish. Initial impression was that this was quite good, but getting into it a bit more it was ok but not real special. rederic (1816), montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 25, 2005 Bright golden honey color, with a white foamy head, caramelized malt, grainy, flower hops aromas follow through on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet malty character, grainy, hint of roasted malt, leading towards a faint dry hoppy finish. blankboy (3263), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours a flat clear copper with an average size lasting white head. Aroma of malt, honey and something else I can’t place that I don’t much care for. Flavour of sweet malt with an unpleasant aftertaste. Dry medium body. Lime many Budels beers this is average at best. HogTownHarry (4037), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 10, 2005 Bottle (330ml). Shared with Blankboy - Budel giftpack adventure 5 of 6. Poured clear amber with an average beige head - flat looking. Aroma a bit vegetal, mild roasty malt, maybe some floral hops - like most of Budels, this is honeyish, and softens and gets less vegetal on warming. Taste follows the nose - sweet but with graininess, more hops, a bit fruity. Mouthfeel is grainy and very dry - overall very boring and flat - always flat with Budels! - and a little too sweet. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 6, 2005 Dark gold color with heavy carbonation and a thick white bubbly/foamy head. Weak malty/hoppy aroma with corny and bready notes. Fair but rather unidimensional hoppy taste that ends with a decently sharp bitter finish. Really not impressed... A rusty tinned oranges flavour - curiously attractive. Odd feeling of staleness, especially in the lingering dry bitterness. Spalt (Saaz) type hop flavour.
