COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed after the German style with a little higher alcohol percentage. Brewed with roasted barley which gives it a darker color and a characteristic malty taste.

(Rating #411)

Not awful; the same inspid body, smell, hope profile and thinness that haunt all of this brewery’s unfortunate offerings, but this has a bit more malt and a fuller flavour. Some malty sweetness and toastiness in the beginning, and a hint of spicy hops.

Light amber colour and the modest white head cloys to the glass. Sweet, somewhat spicy caramel aroma. Very sweet initially, lots of honey and some roasted flavours as well. The finish is drier.Quite well-carbonated, a bit oily texture. A rather complex beer with some unusual flavour combinations.

Bottled. A copper coloured beer with barely any head. The aroma is very sweet with honey and caramel prevalent. The taste is really quite nasty and chemical. Far, far too sweet and with notes of toilet cleaner. Not at all impressed.

Clear amber honey body with a full size white head that didn’t want to hang around for too long. Hops and malt blended well in the aroma. Taste is what I expect from an altbier, but it falls away to a thin finish. Initial impression was that this was quite good, but getting into it a bit more it was ok but not real special.

Bright golden honey color, with a white foamy head, caramelized malt, grainy, flower hops aromas follow through on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet malty character, grainy, hint of roasted malt, leading towards a faint dry hoppy finish.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a flat clear copper with an average size lasting white head. Aroma of malt, honey and something else I can’t place that I don’t much care for. Flavour of sweet malt with an unpleasant aftertaste. Dry medium body. Lime many Budels beers this is average at best.

Bottle (330ml). Shared with Blankboy - Budel giftpack adventure 5 of 6. Poured clear amber with an average beige head - flat looking. Aroma a bit vegetal, mild roasty malt, maybe some floral hops - like most of Budels, this is honeyish, and softens and gets less vegetal on warming. Taste follows the nose - sweet but with graininess, more hops, a bit fruity. Mouthfeel is grainy and very dry - overall very boring and flat - always flat with Budels! - and a little too sweet.
