Bottle: Budels Herfstbock: Light brown foamy head on top of an amber brown colored beer. Smell toasted malts, dark spices, caramel. Taste is good drinkable with a nice bitter touch to it. Not sweet at all, just a nice bittering: toasted malts, caramel, dark fruits and spices. Soft on the tongue, mid body.

After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity wall adhesive white foam collar which was fine and even of structure. The beer also contained not much carbonic acid in the glass. The beer has a clear ruby color and a sweet taste. The after tast of the beer is hoppy bitter with a roasted malty touch. This beer smells light caramally.

Bottle, 6.5%. Soy aroma, roasted malt. Clear dark brown colour. Very small tan head. Good dusty flavour with a lot of dark malts. Slightly roasted. Not sweet, but not dry either. Quite well-balanced. Good alcohol level.

Bottle, 6.5%. Malty aroma. Clear dark brown colour with a red shine. Small tan head. Roasted liquorice flavour, not so well-balanced. Malty enough and slightly sweet. Good alcohol level. OK for a macro.

Ungstrup (29223) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - FEB 20, 2010
Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin lazing tan head. The aroma has strong notes of caramel, malt, and nuts. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of nuts and caramel, on a malty and bready back ground, leading to a very dry nutty finish.
Earlier Rating: 12/31/2004 Total Score: 2.9
A red beer with chunks of yeast floating around below a disappearing orange head. The is primarily sweet while the flavor is sweet and dry. Too simple.

(Bottle 30 cl) Brown beer with a reddish tint. Creamy, light brown beer. Notes of burned malt in both aroma and flavours and a rather pronounced bitterness balanced by sweet malt. Harmonious. 280204

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2011 Dark brown colour. Texture is quite thin. Very light flavoured for a bock with a total lack of distinction.
