Abbey beer, ruby colour, top-fermentation beer, outstanding owing to its soft flavour and fantastic aroma. This beer’s name comes from the French Capuchins, who had a monastery in Budel at the beginning of the last century.

Brown beer with thin beige head. Flakes of yeast is not very temptating. Aroma is very sweet: mallts and sugar. Flavour is not aroma-like but sweetness is appropriate, roasted and rather bitter. Surprisingly watery to drink because sugary aroma and flavour normally makes body to more dence. Changes better when beer is warmer. This is too typical beer without anything personal.

From tap at Erasmus. blonde and slightly hazy. Decent lasting head. Excellent citrus tangs like grapefruit. Reminds me a little of the Caracole Troublette. Highly quaffable and can hit the spot.
