COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abbey beer, ruby colour, top-fermentation beer, outstanding owing to its soft flavour and fantastic aroma. This beer’s name comes from the French Capuchins, who had a monastery in Budel at the beginning of the last century.

From tap at Erasmus. blonde and slightly hazy. Decent lasting head. Excellent citrus tangs like grapefruit. Reminds me a little of the Caracole Troublette. Highly quaffable and can hit the spot.

330ml bottle. Smokey or ashy brown malt aroma. Dark brown colour, pours with a healthy head but that fades. Sweet malty taste, richly roasted, very succulent in the mouth. Mellow maltiness, very brown.

Bottle 0.33 l. Brown with small lacy head. Nose is mostly sweet malts and some yeastiness. Flavor is mostly malts, pretty sweet, some dark fruits. A little flat feel partly due to low carb. Lacks something.

Dark reddish/brown coloured, medium sized tan head, caramel nose. Light roasted malt, burnt sugar and caramel aroma with notes of fruit and dry herbs. Pleasant warming finish. Very good beer, much better than Alt.

Sweet flavour, medium to full body, smooth carbonation. Moderately roasted malty taste with caramel and soft underlying fruity notes; sweet, malty, slightly alcoholic finish with faint bittering hops. Tastes like an average dark Bock.

from crackedkettle.com - cloudy dark reddish-amber with no foam remaining; sweet malty nose with lot of caramel and red fruits, a touch of candi sugar too; very soft palate, sweet and medium-bodied; finishes moderately dry and quite bitter; the aftertaste is a bit bubblegum-like with notes of figs
