Bottle: Medium airy but also fluffy white head which disappears slowly and leaves a small think open lacing on top of a clear yellow to lightly orange colored beer. Smell is a bit stingy, hay, grains, typical (pils) malts, older malts, honey and sweat. Taste is softer than the stingy smell: bit sweet of the honey, malts, barley malts, corn, sweet grains, some sugars (most likely from the honey), some hints of hops, herbs, light floral and light bitter. Light aftertaste of grainy sweets, hoppy herbs and some light malty bitterness. Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, medium body and a creamy texture. Not as bad as I thought this one would be...

Originally rated January 2006. Pours a pale golden colour with lots of carbonation. The white head goes down fast, but lacing comes to the rescue. Ah yes, honey is present in the nose, with slight malt. It is also in the taste, but very lightly, with not much else to pump up the mouth. In the aftertaste, mild grain and bitterness shows up. Definitely not as sweet and full of honey like the Florisgaarden Honey. Not too bad, but a bit too light in all departments.

Not a very good one for me. The color is ok, the smell is fair, the taste is poor and carbonation below average. Malty and light herbs.

I didn’t really like the taste of this beer. The glass (which i also rate when i use my system) is very boring. Not very high on my list.

Pours pale yellow with no head at all. Slight sweetness in the aroma. Nothing much to speak of in the flavour other than that it has a slight sticky sweetness. Finish is a bit soapy.

Bottle from Bier Koning. Clear pale gold beer, residual white head. Light palate, a little soft - nice. Some lagerish malt but sweeter than normal. Not really getting honey - just generic sweetness. Whisper of fruit. Ok sweet beer.
