Sampled from 12-oz bottle at Cellars Wine & Spirits and shared with Badgerben. Pours a clear light amber colored brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates to a thin ring. Aroma of lightly toasted caramel malt, some floral hops, a touch of toffee and some pear. Taste is light to medium bodied, plenty of carbonation and flavors of roasted malt, some caramel, floral hops and a touch of green vegetable. Finish is slightly dry, metallic with a slowly disappearing caramel malt aftertaste. Better than their regular mass-produced light beers.

Not bad at all for an AB product. It is about time they come out with some sort of flavor and body. The hops come through in the finish, but still not a high quality brew. Hats off to AB none the less. Have another? one, why not.

Bottle. I liked this beer. It is not masterfully brewed with complex flavor and depth, but it has a good balance of taste and body. I am not a fan of A-B products, but what they are trying to do is commendable with this one. Hopefully it will introduce people to the world of craft brews and open there eyes to beer made without rice. Refreshing. Good beer when you are drinking more than 6.

This is what Budweiser would taste like if it were brewed with malt and hops.

actually not all that bad, i would drink it if it was around. nothing really notable about it, just a very mild hop element with a touch of caramel malt maybe, and a decent body

12 oz. bottle. Pours an amber color with a small, fizzy off-white head. Aroma was caramel malts, yeasty, and decent floral hops. Flavor was similar. Very watery mouthfeel, with a bitter finish. Basically this beer smelled and tasted like budweiser with more hops. Blah.

Yay! A bland, boring amber ale. Mettalic malt aroma, at least AB didn’t forget to include that like in every other beer they make. Light amber in color with creamy off-white head. Good looking beer, tastes like nothing. Some malt a nod in the direction of hops but just basic, bland and boring. Light creamy mouthfeel with a dry lingering aftertase. Lame.

12oz bottle. This was a pleasant surprise. Better than any AB lagers. A bit citrusy for my taste. I expect this to show up at restaurants that normally don’t serve ales. I’d try this again, if it’s the only ale on the menu.
