dnstone (136), , New Jersey, USA Jun 11, 2009 This beer definately trumps macro lagers. Its nice to actually taste and smell the hops in a macro. Odeed (1666), Bakersfield, California, USA Jun 11, 2009 clear bronze body with a small white head.the aroma is loaded with diacetyl.flavor is as well.it really dominates the beer.thats about all i get out of it. GrandpaSteve (8), Downingtown, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Jun 7, 2009 I don’t understand all the negative reviews. This is pretty good. I think AB has made a good product here. Better than most macros. TampaBrew (749), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 7, 2009 Pours a light amber. Slight cascade nose mixed in with bread and adjuncts. Flavor is a thin slightly hopped malt forward beer. If I were at a cookout and it was between this and anything else they offer, this is a no-brainer. Not terrible. trayns (237), Beverly Hills, Michigan, USA Jun 6, 2009 Bottle. Pours a lighter amber color and a medium white head. Aroma is more malty caramel body. Taste is a decent balance between the two, and a nice robust malty body. A little thin on the palate, but I think it takes a hit from the macro label. satan165 (542), River Grove, Illinois, USA Jun 1, 2009 aroma of malt sweetness and also fragrant hops, nearly perfectly balanced right out of the gate. appearance is standard for an amber ale, but still quite striking. flavor is of a light peach note from the cascades in aftertaste, but mostly some controlled malt sweetness. i have had many MANY far worse amber ales with much less hop character and plenty of cloying, candy sweetness. this does not deserve its low marks, but its bound to get them from the ’cool kids’ all day afternoon. dkoonce (880), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA May 31, 2009 Dark amber, with a creamy, durable head. Sweet malt aroma, with little hops. More hop in the medium body. Very sweet, too sweet. kyzr (1120), Belgrade, Montana, USA May 30, 2009 Clear amber pour with decent head. Sweet grain nose. Flavor is full of wet wheat with some mild hop and sweetness to it.
